When watching the season one DVD's, I noticed that for about the first ten episodes, The Modernaires sing the theme song in the closing credits. Then that version is replaced with the more familiar instrumental version. I've always thought The Modernaires version sounds a little lame, perhaps the producers of the show felt the same and eventually decided to use the instrumental version in the closing credits.

The Modernaires singing the Hazel song was one of the best things about the early Hazel series. I always looked forward to trying to sing along with the words, for a long time as a kid I couldn't understand some of them. But I'm also another one of fine taste and distinction who prefers the singing version of the Hazel song. I would have liked if they kept up the singing thruout the whole series. Would have been excellent to have the singing version at the beginning of the show too, just as other series often had a singing version of their own theme song. Yes, the final word is that the singing version was the best and never should have been replaced with the instrumental.

LOL that was a funny post. It's clear that your main intent with it was to agitate me, but you failed miserably. The final word is the Modernaires version was poorly executed and quickly replaced. The only good thing about it is we got to find out what the words of the song are. In addition Hazel Anyday, you are the thieving scoundrel who wanted to charge me 755 bucks for your crap copies of the Hazel episodes. That's right people, 755 bucks. What a thief. Go try and rip off someone else, clown. And what makes it even funnier is that I was told the price is normally $770, and I was getting a break with 15 bucks off. Well golly gee, thanks a lot!!!

Oh you poor thing, you must have gotten the Jerk rates.
Meantime, I'm glad you agree that the wonderful singing Modernaires are the best thing about Hazel and that you also wish they were singing the opening theme as well as the closing theme. And now that the final word has been spoken, you really should try to get over your twisted obsessions. |

![]() And yes, the instrumental version of the Hazel theme is better than the sung version. When listening to the sung version, it's clear to understand why it lasted only a few episodes before they pulled it in favor of the superior instrumental version. |

The singing version was still the best and all now agree that the singing version should have been played at the start and at the end of the show. And all also agree you are the jerk you've proven yourself to be over and over. Now poor lad get over it already. You're still crying and whining over a deal that NEVER happened a long long time ago. Is your mind so vacant that you can only obsess over ancient non-existant deals that never were? You're really a sad sack who never tires of playing the sad old record over and over. Once a jerk always a jerk and you're one of the kings of Jerkdom.

Ah huh, sure, you're long over it. That's why you obsessively repeat your baloney time and time again NO MATTER what the SUBJECT at hand is, you're back once again to your Sad Sack Jerk Rates story that no one Number 1. believes, and 2. cares about. You're pathetic, you've obsessed over this one ancient history non-existant never happened deal and you apparently were traumatized by it. If you weren't you wouldn't keep bringing it up no matter what the subject is that's being discussed. Here we are talking about Hazel's theme and you harken once again back to your ancient history tale of woe over a never happened deal AGAIN. I implore you to get on with your life and stop obsessing over a never happened ancient deal. Ever hear of the concept of commerce, one offers a product at a price, the other has the option to either buy or not to buy, it is not meant to be a forever traumatizing life's event. GET OVER IT JERKFACE, you're sickening.

Seems you're really as thick headed as you keep proving yourself over and over to be. Once again you prove how obsessed you are over a NEVER happened deal from long long ago. You were never ripped off, to be ripped off one must spend at least a penny on a product to be ripped off of. You spent nothing, I got nothing, no muss no fuss. But YOU apparently still have NOT GOTTEN OVER IT because to this day you continuously harp on a non-existant deal that never happened. How much of a ****** do you want to prove yourself to be next? Look Simple Simon, here's how it works. Someone has something for sale. Someone else then can either buy it or not buy it. No one is "ripped off", are you too thick to understand this basic concept? Last week I was in Nordstroms, they had a tie for sale for $150. Now I have a choice to either pay $150 for a tie from them or not to buy from them. Simple isn't it? No need for a life altering trauma to take place. You choose to buy or not to buy and YOU MOVE ON. You don't for years afterward repeat and repeat of your once seeing a tie for sale for $150 and that Nordstrom "ripped you off" because they charged $150 for a tie that you didn't buy. Ridiculous. I chose not to buy the tie and believe it or not I have not stopped everyone I meet to tell them I was "ripped off" because Nordstrom charged $150 for a tie (that I never even chose to buy). Lesson one repeated, if you CHOOSE not to buy something that's your choice. If a product costs a certain amount it's the retailer's business what they charge. If no one buys it they will charge less. If there's a high demand the charge will be more. Basic economics here. No need for your traumatized reaction claiming you were ripped off when in reality you never even lost a single penny. Now if you want to repeat your false claims I will tell you off every single time you repeat your twisted obsession. You will not get away with your lies, not here not anywhere. You only prove yourself to be the completely falsely obsessed maniac every time you speak. And EVERYONE can see your strange false obsession every time you repeat your same old sad sack tale. Now try to open your mind and learn from the lessons I have taught you here. I know it will not make a bit of difference, because you only waste your breath and energy when talking to the simple, but there's always hope you will learn from your betters and get over your twisted obsession. Now I hope I won't be forced to tell you off again.

There is no one so just as the one who is right. I am right here and will continue to set the record straight every single time you lie about it. You have proven once again with your repeated obsession tale of woe just how obsessed you are over a simple offer to buy or not to buy. What to the mentally stable person would just be another offer that one passes up is to you a never ending twisted obsession that you can't seem to let go of. My analogy to Nordstrom's was not off the subject at all. If you had a capacity to think beyond your obsession you could understand it. My story clearly and plainly demonstrated the same exact concept that I found with Nordstrom that you found with me. A product was offered for a certain price (the tie in this case) I thought the price too high so I chose not to buy. I walked away, I MOVED ON. I did not choose to go into a kiniption fit over it that lasted for years on end never letting the subject drop and forever more tell everyone who passes by that I was "ripped off" by Nordstrom simply because they charged an amount I chose not to pay. Clearly this analogy can be understood even by a twisted obsessed mind such as yours. If you don't want to buy something, don't. No one's forcing you. As I said at the start of your forever repeated twisted tale of woe, MOVE ON, GET OVER IT, it's a business transaction THAT NEVER HAPPENED. CLEAR TO YOU YET? It never happened. I never bought the tie, you never bought the Hazel, I moved on, I am not obsessed over a tie that I didn't buy. You, years later, are still obsessed over a product you chose not to buy. You're nuts, my friend, nuts.
