I prefered every theme song except the first season's. Charlotte Rae is a fantastic actress, but I didn't like the theme song.

Although I do like the first version, I enjoyed Gloria's version better. More upbeat.

I enjoy both because they're both very nostalgic for me. I saw FOL in reruns as a child in the 1980s on weekday afternoons at both my grandparents' house and my house, and I love those memories I have of watching the show back then.

So I love both of those versions, but don't care for the "modernized" one as much. It's just not the same to me.
