Just a quick update - Bill Daily is still a guest-host of a radio show in Albuquerque. The show comes on Thursday mornings (usually) from 7:00 am to 8:00 am Mountain Time. It's available through audio streaming, which can be accessed by most people, even those on dial-up. He was just on yesterday morning, joking around, playing Match Game with call-in contestants (usually in the NM area, though occasionally someone who listens via streaming calls in and gets to play).
Streaming radio URL: http://www.bigi1079.com/main.html then click on the Listen Live link (in several places on first page) then click again on Listen Live, and wait for a smaller screen to pop up. (I have better luck with Internet Explorer than Mozilla Firefox, for streaming.) If you want to see notes and one transcript from previous shows, they're on our website (see signature line). __________________ Donna Webmaster, The Jeannie Sisters Webpage http://www.geocities.com/jeanniesisters/ An I Dream of Jeannie fan website |

Can it be heard in your city? Yes, if you have an Internet connection that allows you to have sound. If you're reading this at the public library, or at school, they may have the speakers disconnected so that you can't listen.
Unlike video streaming, audio streaming can be heard with a dial-up connection, as long as its static free. You'll have a delay of about 45 seconds between what they're saying and what you hear, less delay if you're on cable modem (the way I understand it!). Here's how you find Bill Daily on Albuquerque radio, on your computer (step by step). He's on at 7 am Thursdays Mountain Time (9 am Eastern, 8 am Central, 6 am Pacific) for one hour. 1) Go to http://www.bigi1079.com/main.html 2) Click on Listen Live link. 3) Click again on Listen Live link. 4) Wait for a little window in your browser to pop up into your upper left hand side. A sponsor's ad or public service announcement should load, allowing you time to adjust your volume if necessary. 5) Then the little bar should say, "Connecting", then "Buffering", and then it should connect. I will say that I have better luck with MS Internet Explorer than Mozilla Firefox, getting the streaming to work. |
