About once a week, when I see them. Now, obviously I'm no idiot. I can't do that with every guy I call my friend; because a lot of people live by that little annoying statement "Guys don't hug guys". You can usually tell when it would be unacceptable.

Of course I don't hug people I only just met. But some of my closer friends, the ones I've worked along side, and partied with, they understand where I'm coming from and know I mean nothing more than genuine friendship.

That's a great response. I'm female & I hug good friends of mine, regardless of their gender. So does my husband. People who worry about this stuff are really more worried about how others perceive them rather than about how THEY perceive themselves.
