Default LADY FINDS PHOTO OF 2 MISSING KIDS BOUND UP>>

Does anyone remember this story? She went into a store and there was a panel van parked nex to her,and when she came out,it was gone, but there was a photo on the ground of 2 missing kids that were bound, and tied. Well i also read on the websleuths.com forum, and came across the following distubing link on there, that seems eerily similar of some boys that were bound.

http://www.johnnygosch.com/

What do you guys think, any similarities?

Read the entire article, the mom has released the photos and she sounds very desperate. The photos are disturbing, but, she seems to think that they will help find her son.

With all due respect to nowheregirl I'd like to bump this again because I wonder if we could again get some sort of survey as to who thinks the girl in the photograph is Tara Calico. I have a slightly better quality picture then the one thats been circulating and am gonna see if I can post it here.

We know the boy isn't Mike Henley for sure and I don't think its that Cantrell kid either. The only "person" I've seen that looks remotely like the boy in the photograph is the artist rendering of the same boy made from the photograph.

As for the girl, I just don't know. I mean back in 1989 people were as convinced the girl was Tara Calico as they were the boy was Mike Henley and then the boy turned out not to be Henley. So using similar logic I don't think many would be surprised if somehow it was determined the girl wasn't Tara Calico.

The UM segment for those who have seen it does present a side by side comparison of Calico and the girl in the photo and Calico does bear a resemblence while in my opinon Henley and the boy in the photo don't look anything like each other when their pictures were placed side by side.

Also there is that circumstancial evidence to consider including a scar on the girls' leg that matches Tara Calico and the fact that the book in the photo was known to be a favorite of Calico's. But then again in another UM case there were at least two reported sightings of Kari Lynn Nixon after she vanished that we know of (one of which her mother even believed was her) and as it turned out Nixon died the night she vanished and therefore it was impossible that either girl in the sighting was her.

I just don't know...Any comments or thoughts?

I'm torn. I don't know. I can see where Tara's family would want to believe that it's her, but on the flip side, if I were the family of an abductee, I WOULD NOT want to picture them bound and gagged in the back of a van. While I see the similarities in the pictures of Tara Calico and the unknown girl, my gut tends to think the picture is a cruel hoax.

I believe the photo that was found was located not too long after Tara disappeared, so that makes things easier as far as comparison purposes are concerned. As I recall, numerous posters have pointed out some differences in the two photographs (one that was of Tara, and the photo that was found with the boy and girl bound and gagged.). I would say that there are bound to be some differences. If one is held captive, they possibly might no longer be in control of their appearance/hygeine and, unfortunately, are subject to alterations in their appearances as their captors wish. If there was a poll on this subject, I would vote for that I think the girl in the photo was Tara. I wonder who the boy in the photo is, were there any other possibilities? Dante, do you have any more info on the Cantrell kid you spoke of?

I don't see why the little boy in the picture couldn't be Henley. Perhaps he was killed and his body buried AFTER the picture was taken. Probably not but I don't see how the fact that they found his remains eliminates him being the boy in that picture. Is there some information I'm missing here?

I read somewhere they sent the picture and a picture of Tara Calico to Scotland Yard and they did an ear analysis or something, anyways the results were positive and they concluded it was likely her. I don't know if this is credible or not. Throw in the scar and then the book. If that truly was her favorite author/book....what are the odds it's NOT her? I think it's her but why was the picture found in Florida? Weird.

I'd like to see the other two pictures found too. But they were found elsewhere....in California or something. How was the picture found in Florida connected with the other ones found in California? From what I read, they weren't similar photographs. Does anyone know where to see the other ones?

I think it's likely David Parker Ray abducted Tara Calico and ended up killing her. Doesn't the photograph look as if those two are in a camper connected to a truck or something? Ray had one of those. He lived in the same town and he terrorized for many years. I wonder if anybody asked him before he was executed.

The location where the photograph was found in Florida is obviously far, FAR away from Tara's home town in New Mexico. Then again, the photo WAS found several months after she vanished so her abductors could very well have been traveling with her. I would just assume if Tara's abductors wanted to taunt authorities with a picture of her being bound and gagged, they would have dropped it in the parking lot somewhere in New Mexico, not Florida.

But you just can't ignore some of the similarities in the photograph - The girl has a lazy left eye like and a similar hairline and ear to Calico's, and a mark on her calf similar to a scar Tara got from an injury in a car accident. At the same time, the book next to the girl was written by one of Tara's favorite authors.

If this was indeed a cruel prank to fool police, these people really worked overtime on their homework. Because witnesses in the area reported seeing that girl shortly before the photo was found and she was accompanied by several unidentified adult Caucasian males who appeared to be giving her verbal orders.

the other two photos are posted on Johnny Gotch site linked in an above post. I noticed in Darkdante's excelent picture that the girls hands don't look bound. Food for thought.

Some random thoughts:

LooksLikeCRicci - I'm not sure if this is what you are getting at with your comments about it being a hoax but from the best that I can tell the Calico case didn't get nationwide coverage so its not that likely in my mind that the picture taken in Port St. Joe was a deliberate attempt to create a hoax based on the abduction or Tara Calico (or Mike Henley for that matter).

Antreas Cantrell was a boy who disappeared from California in 1988 (he would have been about the same age as the child in the Port St. Joe photo) - After Henley's remains were discovered, the shift in public opinion turned to the possiblity of the unidentified boy being Antreas Cantrell. Personally I don't think the child looks like either Antreas Cantrell or Mike Henley.

SiberianKiss - Of the two other photographs only one has been published and it is one of a girl on a train with her hands bound with plastic handcuffs while a creepy looking guy is staring at her. This photo used to be available online but the site that hosted it is currently down. It should be noted that Tara's mom doesn't believe the girl in that photo is her daugher. I should also note that in my opinion it looks like two people fooling around.

Another photo (which has never been published to my knowledge) was found at a construction site in California (shortly after the Port St. Joe photo surfaced) this showed a girl who looked similar to the girl in the PSJ photo although it was apparently a close up and this time her eyes were sealed with tape. Calico's mother believes the girl in this photo COULD BE her daughter but the photo itself has never been published to my knowledge.

Regarding Henley, in my opinion it would be highly unlikely for the abductor to abduct Mike Henley from the campsite where he disappeared, criss cross the country to drive him down to PSJ - take the picture...then criss cross the country again to return to the campsite only to murder him in the same spot he was abducted. I'm not saying its impossible but the more likely theory is Mike Henley wandered off from camp and died due to more "natural causes".

dynoguy88 - Yeah something about "the eyes" right? - Everytime I compare Tara's eyes to the eyes to the girl in the photograph I have the creepy feeling that the same person is staring out at me.
