Default Teri Garr Recovering from Brain Aneurysm

HOLLYWOOD - Tootsie star Teri Garr is recovering after undergoing surgery to treat a brain aneurysm.
The 62-year-old was admitted to the hospital on Dec. 21 when her 13-year-old daughter Molly couldn't wake her up.

Her representative tells People magazine Garr is "recovering nicely," adding, "She's alert. She's sitting up. She's talking. The prognosis is very, very good."

Garr, who was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis in the late 1990s, was immediately brought to hospital where doctors performed a coil embolism.

The actress spent the holidays in the hospital, with her two brothers at her bedside.

That's so sad to hear. Prayers for Terri - I've always enjoyed her so much. Bad enough having MS and now this. Hopefully she'll have a full recovery. Just saw her last week on the ep of Friends where Pheebs finds out she's actually her birth mom. Also saw her again when I watched Young Frankenstein for like the 150th time. (Odd too - with the passing of Peter Boyle a couple of weeks ago).

That's sad. I'm glad she's recovering. She was always so cute and bubbly. My husband used to love when Teri was a guest on the talk shows years ago. I used to joke and tell him that his girlfriend was on, lol.

I seen that same episode too! I loved it, she was perfect to play Pheebs mother. I loved her in the movie, First Born with Peter Weller. The movie launched the careers of Corey Haim, Sarah Jessica Parker, and Robert Downey Jr. I hope she has a full recovery, we've had too many deaths in December.
