I'm going to order these 2 books but Amazon has no pictures or descriptions about either of them..so I was wondering if anyone that has read them could tell me what they are about. Thanks!

Hmm...I didn't even know these books existed until now. I might just have to pick them up myself.

Amazon is wonderful lol! BTW, just as a heads up.. if you order your books from there (both books are only available used) stay away from SallysBooks if you see her selling any. I bought a "Mint Condition" book from her that was anything but!

I have several books, but have never come across these. I'd sat they gotta be good if they are by Peter Crescenti. He's a regular riot! When you get them, please let us see the covers. Thanks !

Aw that's okay! Your idea was a good one! I went ahead & looked online at my library..just to see if I could find a description & they had nothing which is surprising.
I figure even if these "mystery" books are about stuff I already know etc-They are out of print & written by Peter Crescenti so they might be good just to have. Part of me is hoping there will be stuff in them that I didn't know. |

There was a series of Honeymooners books years ago, maybe 15 or so, that included pictures and quotes from the show. It's very possible that these are two of those. I have a couple of them at my parents, but I don't remember which ones. They were funny to read - especially if you ever needed a quote for something! - but informative they ain't.
I say if you can get them at a good decent price and they're in good shape, go for it! You won't learn anything, but you'll have fun reading the books. And you get a nice collectible in the process, too! |

Cresenti put out those 2 books several years ago along with another called "Alice Kramden's Guide to Handling a Hard-Headed Husband". It was after the Honeymooners Treasury came out. They are very small books. You can get all 3 of them for under a buck at amazon. See link below:

Check out this link below. It was at the bottom of the amazon.com page where you find the "Alice Kramden Guide...." written by Crescenti. Note that it appears to be a legit online retailer, but the Color Honeymooners have not been released in its entirety (obviously bootlegs). Read the description of the show. Have you ever read the instructions that come with something you purchased that was made in China? That's what it sounds like. Also note that the picture on the cover has "Audrey", not "Sheila". I'd be willing to bet if you asked them why, they wouldn't have a clue what you were talking about.
