Hey, I just wanted to ask: does anyone here remember that case covered on UM about that rich man running that insurance(or bank or somthing) scam in the Northeast(I believe) where he scammed alot of poor men and women out of millions of dollars? That case always stuck with me because I was so mad at that guy for doing that, and now I can't remember the episode/case name or the rich guy's name or anything! So who can help me out here?
Thanks and God bless

Could that be Woody Kelly? His case was just on last night, and I posted about it a little ways down the page under "Woody Kelly Found?"

No, I don't think it was Woody Kelly, because I know that they caught the guy that Im referring to quite a while back, and I remember on the "Update" episode that featured the guy Im talking about, they showed a small clip from his sentencing and the judge(a woman, which might help identify the episode Im talking about) was quite angry at him and telling him off(in a cool manner, of course).

Hmmm... Although I haven't actually seen the segment, I have seen a small clip of a segment about a New Hampshire judge who conned a lot of people out of money and then went on the run. I wanna say there was an update to this case. The part I remember was him being handed a safety deposit box by one of the many people that trusted him.
This would have been in the Northeast (New Hampshire) Could this be the one you're thinking of? |

No, because it wasn't a judge who was the con man. It was some guy(an older guy) who was rich and he set up this insurance or bank place or something in the Northeast(I believe it was an insurance place that dealt with poorer people only). Anyways, it was fraudulant and he was charging all the people lots of money and such, and the guy went on the run when the cops caught on to him. Anyways, thanks to UM, they caught the guy and they ran an update on the show about it where the judge at this guy's sentencing was pretty mad and was saying...stuff
, to him.But like I said, I can't remember the guys name or the case or episode or anything! Just these few details. |

Well there was the case of Sheldon Weinberg. I believe it was in the Northeast and he and his sons were scamming the government via a bunch of false Medicaid claims. He was on the run and was found and UM did run an update about him. I remember the female judge did have a lot of strong things to say to him (deservedly so) and always remember at the end she said "execute sentence". Could that be the one?
