Default Did you like the way the girls looked?

In May during the FOL DVD interviews, did you like the way the girls looked, and how they were dressed?

I LOVE Nancy McKeon and she looked THE BEST, but I didn't like that she wore blue jeans and, it was hard to tell, but it looked like she was wearing black dress shoes. It reminded me a little when the girls went to the chug a lug bar and Jo wore Blue jeans and high heals. Blair said very tacky. Also the interviews went to two days and the other girls wore different outfits but Nancy wore the same clothes

As far as I'm concerned what they wear is their own prerogative as long as they look well groomed. All three looked great to me and seemingly were each dressed in fitting with their own personalities.

I can't fault someone for wearing jeans because it's probably something I would do too. Only thing I'd point out is that I don't think Nancy wore the exact same clothes two days in a row. That brown coat thing, was I think an actual coat, that she chose to wear on air. She had different shirts on both days.

I remember that line very well, from the opening episode of Season 2.

Now, granted, that was 26 years ago, and looking back, all I can say is, "What's wrong with high heels and jeans?"

Okay, so, I am -- for better or worse-- a guy. But, what exactly is the fashion faux pas of wearing heels with jeans? I see a lot of young women, these days, with large, thick heels, wearing jeans. It's true that you don't often see the sandal-type with a heel that Jo was wearing in that episode. Trust me, though, guys can easily look past such fashion indiscretions.

Give me Blair, circa 1980, and I'd be so lovesick that her shoes are the last thing that I'm noticing!

LOL which pair? If you noticed in the close-up of her feet they were whitish silverish, but when you see her starting to climb up the bunk bed in the second part, they're black with no open toes. Anyone else notice this?

Speaking as a girl I have to say that nowadays jeans and heels is not only quite common, but often considered quite stylish. Go to any bar in a metropolitan area on a Friday or Saturday night and that's about all you will see. It's part of the girl code.

However, it probably wasn't considered stylish in the early 80's. I'd have to trust Blair's judgement on that.

And yes, in "The New Girl" depending on the scene, Jo has two different sets of heels.

DOES ANYONE READ WHAT I POST? MAYBE NOT, SINCE IT'S IN ALL CAPS

I MENTIONED THIS VERY THING BEFORE; AND HOW I THOUGHT THE GIRLS DRESSED AS THEIR CHARACTERS WOULD HAVE AT PRESENT.

THAT OTHERS CAUGHT THIS TOO.

yeah Nancy and Lisa looked wonderful . I just didn't like the turquoise suit that Lisa wore. It was a bit too much, I think. Lisa is still gorgeous! and yes, i laughed when i saw that Nancy had on black heels like in "the New Girl"

Blair: would you come on?
Jo: i'm coming, i never wore 4 inch heels before.
Blair: who told you to wear heels with jeans anyway? very tacky

But i must be truthful, Nancy has a great figure. I liked her leather coat she wore on the Division. It looked really nice on her.

Mindy looked good too, i like her bohemian look, it works for her. and btw she was cute in a spoof about smirnoff ice for the holidays "SAVE THE MISTLETOE" anyone else seen it?

Jo: You should, you spend enough time looking in the mirror.

Jo: Blow it out ya Gucci bag.

Natalie: Where'd you get the beer?
Jo: I got the beer.
^
Tootie: We have to do something to help Mrs. Garrett!
Jo: *slaps Tootie on the hand, sorta hard*
Jo: why? ( in a sleep voice)
hahahaha
