Default Americans see doom and gloom in 2007

Happy New Year?

Six in 10 people think the U.S. will be the victim of a terrorist attack. An identical percentage thinks it likely that a biological or nuclear weapon will be unleashed somewhere else in the world.

Seventy percent of people in the U.S. predict a major natural disaster in the country and an equal percentage expects worsening global warming.

Can't we just anticipate a New Year without negative predictions? I hate people.

Happy New Year!

Yeah it does, if what my dad tells me about everyone who doesn't go to Heaven being subject to 1,000 years of Satanic rule is true. But in all honesty, I don't see any of those events happening, or anything my dad says about the Bible being true.

I know... that's probably the same 25% who predict it every year.

Remember all those Y2K fanatics who were stocking up on food, supplies, and generators in 99? I remember so many news reports about that right before New Years Eve. what nutjobs...I wonder where they're all now.

While that certainly could happen, I think people are too paranoid. At least securitys buckled down alot since 9/11.

They've been saying that for years, and I still don't see it happening.

Nobody can predict when Jesus will return. The Bible even says it will come unexpected.

I'm reminded of a quote I once heard...I think it might actually have been from Star Trek: The Next Generation....but it's a good one nonetheless

If people believe they're going to die tomorrow, they'll usually find a way to make it happen.

Maybe if people would start thinking just a bit more...positively...things might just get better.

Probably in hiding.
