9 to 5 coming to theatre stage!
According to Dolly Parton's interview with Larry King, a musical adaptation of the original movie 9 to 5 is coming in Fall 2007. I just found out about this. I wonder if the tv series will be released to dvd if the musical is successful. It would be interesting to see for those who have never seen it before.

Parton will write all the songs for the production. The title of her current CD, 'Backwoods Barbie' will also be in the production. "Since they pick on my character so much," Parton said, "I wanted the song to be in the production because it explains more about the character, who she is and where she's coming from."
She said that in a CMT interview, after being asked about the play. |
