Just the Classic 39 on laserdisc. The VHS collection of the C39 had animated covers, so that's what all those little pictures are. For example, here's the cover for Volume 1 of the VHS collection, which contains "TV Or Not TV":

Okay the pictures are what threw me off. Man I'm glad I resisted the temptation to buy it lol.
Thanks Bill!

Haha, I still own the VHS tapes with the animated covers. I think they're pretty cool, even though they only did animations for 20 out of the 39 episodes. One thing that I thought was pretty interesting about them was how Hanna-Barbera Studios (the producers of The Flintstones) was credited for the animation done on the volume containing "Twas The Night Before Christmas."

What does the other 19 episodes have on the covers? I didn't realize that they only did the art on the first 20. Does anyone else have good pics of these? That's neat that they used different artists on each cover. Although the dvd's have a nice format, I think the tapes look better.

Well there's two episodes on each tape, with the exception of Volume 1, which only had "TV Or Not TV" and a little segment called "Honeymooners Highlights." They made a poster with all 20 animations, almost exactly like the cover of the laserdisc AndAwayWeGo posted above. I've been trying to get my hands on one of those posters for years but every time I catch it on eBay, the seller is asking for way too much money...I guess they think they have something rare. Anyway, here's the covers for each volume:

Volume 1 - "TV Or Not TV" (Cover Artist: C.F. Payne)
Volume 2 - "A Dog's Life" (Cover Artist: Jack Davis)
Volume 3 - "Funny Money" (Cover Artist: Robert Grossman)
Volume 4 - "The $99,000 Answer" (Cover Artist: Daniel Schwartz)
Volume 5 - "The Bensonhurst Bomber" (Cover Artist: Dick Hess)
Volume 6 - "The Man From Space" (Cover Artist: Will Vinton/Claymation Studios)
Volume 7 - "Better Living Through TV" (Cover Artist: Etienne Delessert)
Volume 8 - "Mama Loves Mambo" (Cover Artist: Robert Risko)
Volume 9 - "Unconventional Behavior" (Cover Artist: Seymour Chwast)
Volume 10 - "Something Fishy" (Cover Artist: Phillip Burke)
Volume 11 - "The Safety Award" (Cover Artist: Joe Kaufman)
Volume 12 - "Alice And The Blonde" (Cover Artist: Stephen Kroninger)
Volume 13 - "A Man's Pride" (Cover Artist: Victor Juhasz)
Volume 14 - "Ralph Kramden, Inc." (Cover Artist: Bill Seinkiewicz)
Volume 15 - "Head Of The House" (Cover Artist: David McMacken)
Volume 16 - "The Golfer" (Cover Artist: Al Hirschfield)
Volume 17 - "A Matter Of Life And Death" (Cover Artist: Chris Butler)
Volume 18 - "The Sleepwalker" (Cover Artist: Richard Thompson)
Volume 19 - "A Woman's Work Is Never Done" (Cover Artist: Drew Friedman)
Volume 20 - "Twas The Night Before Christmas" (Cover Artist: Hanna-Barbera Studios)

Thanks for posting the links. It's very interesting to see how they went about doing the drawings for half of the classic 39.

Yeah, I like the animations so much that I still can't bring myself to trade in my VHS copies for the DVD's. It'd be pretty interesting to see what they would've done with the remaining episodes, it seems like they chose the more memorable ones to do animations for.
