I hate it when kids make fun of eachother.I hate Blair's "Burn-Book".Sometimes I just hate how cruel Blair is and I hate that A-hole at-that-time boyfriend,Dink.I love how Jo offers to have dinner with him.Jo is so great she is now my favorite character. She never laughs about other people in this episode but at that girl they said has whiskers.

She made a "burn-book".In which you can write your opinions on anyone. So you can be really be thruthful you do not sign with your name you sign with a number.Blair told the boy that natitalie liked that she was numbe 10 ithe burn book.So nataitalie calls Carl who is the boy that everyone mkes fun of and pretends she is Blair and tells him which dinner box is blairs and tells him she would love to have dinner with him.And at the end Blair says she is an injured party, what bull. The ep is on the season three DVD

Blair was pretty cruel in this episode. However, in the end she did the right thing though.

When Blair revealed Natalie to be #10, and the boy Natalie likes then tried to let her down gently, I cannot say that Blair actually "intended" any harm or hurt toward Natalie. Yes, it was thoughtless, and Blair should have known better -- that Natalie, ultimately, would be embarassed.
Recall though, it was Natalie who decided to shamelessly use one person to get back at another. Carl "Rocky" Price just happened to be the sharpest thorn Natalie could find to stick in Blair's side. Natalie's intent was to embarass Blair by setting her up for a dinner with an utterly hideous looking guy. Understand that I am not excusing Blair's reaction to Carl Price. She was mean and no charmer as well. It took Mrs. Garrett's lecture in order to humble her. What strikes me as ironic here is that Natalie herself is not blessed with beauty, and yet, it is she who is so completely thoughtless concerning the self esteem of Carl Price. How would Carl feel when he discovers that he is merely the insult of a joke played on Blair? I'd say that Natalie's behavior is worse than Blair's reaction in this episode. Anyone agree? |

I'd say that both Natalie and Blair's behavior is pretty bad in this episode. I agree that Natalie is the one who deliberately tried to hurt Blair through using Carl (and hurting him) and I also agree that though Blair was thoughtless in revealing Natalie's crush she didn't do it out of a place of maliciousness. Insensitive but not evil.
But Blair's reaction to Carl (until she learns her lesson at the end) is rather mean. She might not have gone out of her way to intentionally hurt him, but she does sort of act as if he is a lepper throughout the show, so I'm not sure if that is much better. She does a lot of talking behind his back, and about other people too for that matter. But then again even Tootie is shown to be having a good ole time with the slam book--happily laughing at people. |
