She calls most of her friends by their last name.She call Seth "Cohen",Ryan "Atwood" and MArissa "Coop"(well that's kinda calling her by her last name since it's Cooper).The only one she doesn't call by their last name is Taylor

Yep. That's her Character. I think it's funny. Although It would sound strange; "Hey Townsend?" LOL

Pacey on Dawson's Creek used to do the same thing with the women in his life.

Yeah, he used Potter and Lindley at times with Joey and Jen. I don't know if he ever referred to Audrey by her last name because I only watched the college years once and that was enough for me!
