Default If you were Casting a movie...

If you were casting a movie about your high school/hometown/people you grew up with--which actors, actors, celebrities or characters either 1)remind you of people you know/knew--hung out with, or were 2) the type of people that kind of "fit" the demographics or personalities of people from your town? (Note: The celebrity doesn't have to be your age, or even currently living. If they fit the roles or types of people around you, you can include them.) Here are some of mine:

Floyd (on Andy Griffith) would be my eighth grade P.E. teacher.

Murphy Brown would be the Field Hockey captain and straight A student.

Kevin Bacon would be a jock but could also wear a leather jacket and be accepted by the hoods.

John Lithgow would be the local Boy Scout leader.

Tom Cruise would be the cool new kid. (He actually did graduate from
my high school)

Joe Namath would be the best athlete and friend to everyone, lettering in football, basketball and track by the time he was a sophomore.

Bob Costas would be the sports editor of the school paper and yearbook and/or manager or statistician for the baseball team.

Goldie Hawn and Suzanne Sommers would be cheerleaders

Ross on Friends (David Schwimmer) would be student-body president (he actually was in a movie)--plus he'd be the bass player or drummer in a local rock band.

These are just a few, but I may think of more later.
I'd be interested to hear some perspectives of other SO members.

My Family is ROSEANNE and KING OF QUEENS and FAMILY GUY.
I have a daughter who is a tomboy and went into depression like Darlene.
My oldest daughter is Becky, the smart one and has boyfriends.
My two girls look different, no resemblance, just like Darlene and Becky (duh!)
My five year old has been Stewie forever. I know he hates me. He gets out of control and he wants to dominate.
I am half Roseanne and half Carrie (King of Queens). I have this sense of humor with my kids, I get sarcastic with people (for good reason) like Roseanne and Carrie. I talk like Carrie to my boyfriend for the stupid things he says/does. Unless you know those characters, it's hard to explain.
My boyfriend is like Doug on King of Queens. He has me with funny sayings, he does physical stuff that cracks me up. He also has gotten his foot in his mouth MANY TIMES, just like Doug.
To my nieces and nephews, I am Aunt Jackie on Roseanne. I am understanding, comforting, I defend them against their mom (my sister), I am THE BEST AUNT IN THE WORLD TO THEM.

My Dad - at times, he would be a toned-down version of Ben Harper from the sitcom M Family

Mum - Unsure.

Sister - Mallory from Family Ties (although she's smarter.)

Robin Williams - one of my teachers.

My friend Edward - Vern from Stand By Me.

That's all I can think of right now. Great thread by the way, Yooch!

Some more:

My dad (personality-wise) would be Jack Arnold from the Wonder Years, with a dash of Ralph Kramden and Archie Bunker.

My mom resembled Laura Petrie but was calmer, like Norma Arnold on the Wonder Years.

(Thank you, Sharop , and I will try to come up with some other characters as I think of them.)
