Post My So Called Life

This had to be one of the best shows i have ever seen that was canceled in its first year. I was that age and thought the show covered topics i was able to relate too.

I totally agree with you. My So-called Life is my all-time favorite show because it was is so real and true to life. I have never seen another TV show or movie that captured what it is like to be a teenager more accurately than My So-called Life did.
It's a shame that it got cancelled but most shows that go on and on for ages get to be really bad after a while. MSCL didn't last for very long but at least it didn't go on for too long and lose what made it special.
When I hear people talking about how "real" shows like Dawson's Creek are I just laugh cos those shows just sugar-coat things and make them seem too idylic. I mean, c'mon - have you ever seen Dawson's Creek? - how many teenagers actually talk like that??!!! MSCL was real. It told things the way they are. That's why it was such a masterpiece.

i agree, my so-called life is one of,l if not the best show for teenagers ever. i thought that claire danes did a brillant job, and shw should have won the emmy that year. hey at least she got a golden globe. I could have watched my so-called life for another 19 years, never mind nineteen episodes.

I really wished they did something like a reunion movie or something to just see how the characters grew up.

I totaly agree, a mscl reunion would be wonderful, a few years ago when ABC had the show CUPID on there was talk that they might use that show CUPID to do a mini- mscl reunioun but because CUPiD was canceled it never happened, but i think that it probrally wouldn't have happened anyway because claire danes is such a big star now that there is no way she would agree to a television reuinon movie! never in a million years... even though mos tof her movies have been bombs... like did u ever see, Brokedown palace or any of her other stinkers!

Yes!!! That was one of the best shows ever! I didn't begin watching it until the re-runs began airing on MTV and couldn't believe they cancelled such a great show.

Yeah me too i didnt even know the show was on ABC cause i believe they kept messing with the shows timeslot and advertised it poorly. Only until MTV tried to save the show i watched it all the time and ABC really made a mistake when they decided to cancel the show and not give it a second chance.

i never watched it on ABC either, but i did know it was on because a good friend of mine was obsessed with the show when it was on ABC, but i never really got into it until it began airing on MTV. Then i became obsessed! I still have my soundtrack, and all of the boxed sets ( except two episodes) i am still looking for the dvd, if anyone knows where i can get the dvd please let me know! When FOXFAMILY started to air mscl again i was so pleased and watched it every saturday, until of course they stopped airing it!
