Default Which FOL episodes made you cry and why?

Now keep in mind that I am the same age as the actresses and I have not seen many episodes since their original run (with the exception of the two seasons I have on DVD). I remember there was an episode where Blair was in a car accident and I cried. I also cried when Jo's teacher died. I related best to Jo's episodes because, like her, I was also the scholarship girl at a very rich private prep school. And I also pretended to be tough to hide what I was feeling inside.
Oh and I also cried when Natalie's father died. I related a little to Natalie too. She always acted happy and upbeat when I'm sure she didn't always feel that way inside. So refresh my memory. Which episodes made you cry?

Hey! I'm a fairly recent fan and have limited access to the series as I live outside of the United States but from the assortment of episodes I've seen so far -- I must say "Sweet Sorrow" (Season 3) and "Out of Peekskill Parts 1&2" (Season 8) by far were the most tear jerking for me. Especially the end scene in "Sweet Sorrow" when a heartbroken Jo is comforted by Mrs. G. I think I get all misty eyed, partly, because Nancy does such a fantastic job of crying (it makes me want to cry right along with her).

Anddddd concerning "Out of Peekskill" it was a very bittersweet two parter because it was so hard to see Mrs. G leave. I really loved her character and presence as gentle mentor for the girls. Charlotte did such an outstanding job -- there was no way anyone could ever hope to fill her shoes.

Anyway, that's my opinion for ya. If I manage to see any more eps of my all time favourite show I shall add to this post

"Less Than Perfect" is the most touching episode of the Facts of Life ever. Whoever disagrees must be high or something.

Each time mrs. g had somethign so sweet to say to the girls, it got me... cuz having watched the series in order on nick at nite then... and seeing it for the first time, and she was one of my alltime favorite characters on the show, i was quite sad... so out came the water works... *sigh* man i love that episode!

The one's that made me cry where:

The one where Eddie comes back for Jo and then Jo finds out Eddie is married- It was sad to see Jo saying goodbye to Eddie that was her first true love.

The one where Nats dad dies- the part where Nat was in her dad's office talking to her mom about how she was going to make it without her dad there that really got me.

The one where the girls come back from there summer vacations to find Edna's Edibles was burnt cause the girls were so worried what was going to happen since the building was burnt along with all there stuff they had left in there room but the part that really got me was when Jo bought Blair a new Mr. Frog since her's was damaged in the fire.

Out of Peekskill part 2- When MrsG said her goodbye's

The one where Jo took the job in California and she said goodbye to everyone before she left to start her Job that was sad even though I knew she would be back since I have seen the eps after that before I even saw this one it still got to me.

Less then perfect the scene where Blair see's her scare for the first time that really got me and then when her and Jo talked alone that is got to be the best scene between them.

The last ep made me cry cause that was the last episode forever until the reunion but still Jo wasn't in the reunion so it wasn't quit the same. But everytime I watch this it just makes me cry knowing that this was it the last one even though they could of done the ep better then focusing more on the spin-off and the people who they wanted to have in the spin-off and focuse more on the main characters since it was the last ep.

"Teacher's Pet" and "Less Than Perfect" because they are both really sad and really moving.

Heart Episodes that make you cry

I think i ve got 2 important ones that kind of make me wanna cry:
"WORKING IT OUT" (seeing BLAIR so upset about dumping CLIFF makes you wanna hug her & when MRS. G sees how hurt she is she acts so loving + motherly towards her)
"THE INTERVIEW SHOW" (it s so touching to see the girls reveal the writer their feeling for each other + how much they workship MRS. G; Also when MRS. G tells the write how she cares & love her 4 girls, i get so emotional).....
