Books: Harry Potter...LOTR is a very well-written series, but IMO, not as readable as HP

Movies: LOTR...far more faithful to the books (though still not entirely accurate)

I tried reading HP, but I just couldn't get into it, LOTR had me hooked from cover to cover.

I have to go with neither.

I've never read either series and I only saw the first movie of each.

I wasn't wowed by either.

Harry is an easier read but I found LOTR a much more powerful story. I read the entire LOTR in one weekend. I could not put the books down, LOTR is the second most read book in history. The first .... the Bibile

Harry Potter. I just couldn't get into the whole Lord of the Rings thing. I find Harry Potter much more interesting.

I'm not crazy about either film series, but if I had to choose one, it would be L.O.T.R. For me, trying to sit through a Harry Potter film, is about as painful as trying to sit through dental work with no novacaine!!

You can take all those films combined, and IMO, they wouldn't even come close to comparing to the greatest fantasy film EVER, The Neverending Story!!!

I have a confession to make to you guys...

I have never seen any of the Harry Potter movies. Not a one.

I've been meaning too, but I've never gotten around to it.

I have seen the LOTR trilogy a few times, and I like it.

I got through about half of the first Harry Potter film after being told how awesome it supposedly was, but I just couldn't get through the rest. It just kept going, and going, and going.

I sat through all of the LOTR films, and was able to atleast get something out of each of them. I liked the second one the best!!
