Default You know some IDIOTS at my Job were Laughing t my reaction to Mike Evans Death?

When I found out I was eating my breakfast and the Initial Shock of hearing he passed away stopped me from eating and they asked me what's wrong and I told then I just found out The First Lionel from the Jeffersons and everyone started laughing. Very Immature. Atleast there was one woman I work with in her 60's who took the news the same way I did. As Far as the other *******, I'm stunned at their immaturity

If they are young, then I can understand why. I am not condoning their actions, just saying they wouldn't understand or care since they are not from that era.

That's just plain insensitive.

Some people don't really care about who lives and who dies unless they are directly related to them or unless it will directly affect them, you know? I think that's pretty sad.

That's awful Solomon. Those people are just jerks. You should never laugh when someone dies whether you know them or not.

They were not laughing at his death, they claimed they were laughing at me because I was really bothered by it like I knew him personally. I told them that I was a HUGE FAN of Mike Evans and that's I was Shocked and Sad at the Time

LOL. Unbelievable. I think that they need to chill with that. My coworkers would probably laugh at me as well. This is a shocker about Mike Evans. You have supporters on the boards Solomon. No worries.

Hey Sol, we know how much he meant to you and that's all that matters. No one can understand other than those of us here who are fans and who know how much you liked him. Don't worry abt those jerks.

The only times I cried when someone famous died was the following:

JOHN LENNON, the first time I cried for someone's death (murder) that was famous. I am a huge Lennon fan, his murder just pierced my heart.

LUCILLE BALL, she is my all time fave television personality. I LOVE HER TO DEATH. I was really crushed.

PRINCESS DIANA, a lovely woman who did more than all those royals put together and was the definition of a lady who handled herself with class even when the worst was happening to her. A true loss to the world.

So Solomon, the way those co-workers behaved towards you for your feelings don't give a rat's ass abt feelings, PERIOD!

They are just being insensitive. I remember I was pretty torn up when John Ritter died. I never knew him but I invited him into my home every week for most of my life. Whenever I was down he would cheer me up. I also grew up with Mike Evans first on AITF and then The Jeffersons. I was real shocked to hear of his death. Like Irene said, those of us here do understand how much he meant to you because he meant something to us too. He was part of my childhood and I'll never forget him.

Same thing happened to me when Lucille Ball died. Although no one laughed, they thought it strange that I would have a reaction as if I knew her personally. I guess they don't understand, that although these people aren't a part of our personal lives, we know them as a character and come to appreciate that character they play.
