I still don't understand why they had to kill her off. They could have just said she moved.

They could have knocked off Ellen too but they didn't. Eunice moved away. I guess killing off Fran made a way to usher in the syndicated years. It also brought in Bubba and Iola.

aunt fran was in jugger with mama eating seafood special went to bathroom brush something off her teeth mama decided have fun with her went in restroom showed her teeth something about fish fran inahaled toothpicks and died in restroom of bigger jigger

It really was ... excessive to say the least.

They may as well said she was hit by a truck and that her body was dragged 3 blocks.

I like agmfox8@yahoo.com's idea about getting a job at another newspaper.

I dearly love Aunt Fran and hated that her character died when I first saw that episode, but I have to admit, it was brilliantly written and is one of the best episodes of the series.
