Default What did you think of Suzanne Somers in the role of Carol Foster Lambert???

I, personally, enjoyed Suzanne in the role of Carol Foster Lambert. She was intellegent but she showed the extreme need to be neat and organized but still likable. Compared to her acting on Three's Company Suzanne was great on SBS. She looked as though she enjoyed the role. Her and Patrick Duffy looked as though they could be married in real life. Two of the younger kids of hers on the show I did not care for. They were too out there for me. Dana's lines had me screaming especially towards JT and Cody.

Ditto. Besides being an intelligent, responsible character and a good mom--a person to be admired, she was also quite beautiful.

Well, I actually thought Carole could too much on the bitchy side towards her husband, like Claire was to Cliff on "The Cosby show". One episode, that really stands out, was the one, where Carole became obsessed with not letting Frank eat any "junk food". He wasn't even allowed to have one bite from the lobster bucket, that he had earned for the family through his work. Come to think of it, that's excactly like Claire Huxtable always treated Cliff Huxtable. She wouldn't let him eat either. I mean, what the heck? Why couldn't Frank be allowed to just taste some lobster? His heart wouldn't stop because of that!

I remember that but it was more like she was worried about his blood pressure than being a b*tch. Carol on Step By Step was not b*tch, Debra on Everybody Loves Raymond is another story.

Anyways, I liked her on the show. She liked to be neat and organized (showing the mother side of here) while providing good chemistry with Patrick Duffy and looking great while doing it (the sex appeal side).

I thought she did really well.... her acting was never bad IMO, and seemed like a very typical mother. My interest was always in the kids' lives and kids-based episodes more so than Carol and Frank-based episodes, especially in the last few years. But I think both Patrick and Suzanne were perfectly cast.

I know she was worried about his health, but she overreacted and went bananas. I understand, that she didn't want to lose Frank in a heart attack, but just forcing him to go cold turkey on every kind of "junk food", not to mention how she wouldn't even let him even taste the lobster, that he had earned for the family, while the children ate it in front of him, was only cruel and the wrong way to go. I think she was more of a control freak than a concerned wife in that episode.

But yeah, Suzanne Somers and Patrick Duffy sure did a great job as parents in this show.

I liked Suzanne in Step By Step because a new generation saw her after her half time on Three's Company!

I thought she was great. She has come a long way from playing Chrissy Snow. She has grown as an actress.
