Default Listening to David Stern this morning on the radio confirmed that he is a IDIOT

This IDIOT says he will start PENALIZING the General Managers if the Fighting continues??????????? First of all, if there is a Situation on the court in 2006, who the hell is thinking about the brawl in 2004?? So a player must never lose their temper again and if there are in a altercation they must say to theirself-"WAIT I CAN DO THIS BECAUSE OF THE 2004 BRAWL in DETROIT"

That is complete and total bullsh*T

He's trying to enforce what the NBA is supposed to be about: the game, not fighting. If the GM's start being penalized, that's a guaranteed way to cut down on fights because the fines and penalties will seriously start to affect everyone from a business standpoint. I don't think he's out of line for trying to promote a violence-free NBA.

I agree,David Stern doesn't take BS from anyone. He is a tough hands on Commissioner, something baseball lacks.

It really doesn't matter if this was the first fight or the tenth, Stern has a ZERO tolerance policy for fighting and I can't say I blame him.

Times have changed Solomon and you know it. Stern NEVER wants what happened in Detroit to ever happen again.

Steve Francis said RACE is playing a Part in Stern's decision and that they are being watched because of the league being mostly black. Sure looks that way to me. It's BENCH CLEARING BRAWLS all the Time in Baseball.

Not to mention there are fights all the time in the NHL, but you don't hear of fines and suspensions. I agree somewhat of what Steve Francis said, but you got some of these black players in the league that don't want to do nothing except cash a paycheck and whine when they are not getting what they think they deserve. The NBA has become too individualized, which is making it impossible for me to get back into it. When you act like animals, you get treated like animals.

LOL@GarfieldKool saying the only thing NBA players wanna do is cash their paychecks and cry when something doesn't go their way hahahahahahahaha. I agree with that. Too many NBA players today are money hungry, selfish, ignorant. David Stern is gay. I don't think Carmelo Anthony should've been suspended that many games. NBA players do need to learn that when a fight happens between 2 players, they need to stay on the sidelines and remain calm instead of jumping in the fight to help their teammate.

I think the race argument is a bit weak in that David Stern wants to cut down on fights in the NBA (or the mostly Black league). There's no positivity in seeing Black athletes fight each other. This is basketball, not boxing. Seeing Black athletes handle their anger by throwing punches at each other is only adding fuel to the fire of those who already have a negative perception of the players. If fines and suspensions helps to keep fighting to a minimum, that's a good thing for the league and the image of the players. That's one less platform for Blacks to be seen fighting each other.
