Default What about Mr. Belvedere

Why won't any network air this show? It was just as good as any other show they show on TVland or TBS or Nickatnight fifty thousand times a day! Does anyone else miss this show as much as me?

Yes, I miss it.

It's better than a lot of crap they decided to put into syndication.

I mean seriously, does anyone really think According to Jim is funny?

Problem with Belvey is that it wasn't respected in its day anyway. Perfect Strangers and Full House always got the street cred, though IMO Belvey blew those shows out of the water.

I think it's so forgotten today and viewed as light-hearted (show is hugely underrated) that no channel wants to pick it up, just so they can shelve it. If more successful stuff like Family Ties and Wings can last only a couple months and get dumped, imagine Belvey's fate in prime-time cable reruns.

Same goes for any possible dvd.

I can't recall seeing this show since it was on ABC. If anyone carried it in syndication, it escapes me at the moment.

Over at the TV Land Switchboard there's a place to write in your favorite shows for consideration. .. Maybe if enough of us request Mr. Belvedere, TV Land or Nick@Nite might put it on the air. .. So I'm heading over to TV Land Switchboard now.
