One of the Sheriff's handling the current rescue attempt is the same sheriff featured as a suspect for a bizarre murder. Does anyone remember the case?

Eric Tamiyasu's case is ridiculous. His "friend's" comment to Eric's sister right after he found the body about there being "no exit wounds" takes the cake. Also, the sheriff burning the bed ... wtf is that all about?? When do the cops EVER burn a piece of potential evidence? His excuse that he was "sparing the family" is preposterous. If I am the families of the climbers, I would be very doutbful about this guy leading the search.

No kidding! I thought that Wampler's actions during the Tamiyasu case were really suspect, to say the least...

I think all three suspects are guilty. It was a big conspiracy.

I always liked Judge Wampler. Glad to hear he's upgraded to murder cases. Last I heard he was messing with cases involving dogs and fleas, or something like that.

I think his sense of humor was quite sick. He stated that he felt for the families then immediately states with an outlandish smile states they gave him "incredible tasting peaches." Awsi was confusing the Sheriff with Judge Wapner from the people's court, which handled small claims cases that involved pets on occassions.
