Default Worst year in high school?

What was your worst year in high school? I would definately say freshman year. Filled with "required" classes and immature bitchy two-faced people, and you get picked on a lot. In my sophomore year it got a lot better.

You can also state which one was your best year.

Hmm, what the hell? I'll reply to this.

Hands down, my worst year was also freshman year. I didn't mind the required classes. Yeah- it was a pain in the ass, but really not that bad at all. (But did I really NEED to take a required keyboarding class for the FIFTH YEAR IN A ROW when I was _ALREADY_ typing 90 WPM?) The main reason I hated freshman year so much was because a dear cousin of mine died three weeks into that school year, and it was especially hard for me to deal with her passing. I preferred to be a loner after her passing that year, so people would single me out and make fun of me. I even got called a lesbian because they never saw me hanging out with any guys (I didn't hang out with any girls, either, but that's not how they saw it) - that seriously hurt.

I had been in a relationship with a guy for a large chunk of my eighth grade year and at the end of that year (two weeks before eighth grade ended), the guy decided to be an ******* and he chose the coward's way of dumping me , so after that I swore not to date AT ALL in high school. I was still pretty bitter over the nasty breakup and made sure I stuck to that all through high school, and that's just what I did. So I think that's how people at school came to the conclusion I was a lesbian.

Best year in high school... oh wow, I'm not sure. Sophomore and junior years were both really freaking awesome. I always have a hard time choosing between the two, because I seriously had the best time of my teen years when I was 15 and 16. Everything went right my sophomore year, as opposed to freshman year. I could do no wrong that year. But junior year was just as equally awesome... Sigh.

Sophomore year. It was the first year in HS where I lived in the house I live in now. I moved out of a house I enjoyed, loved, and cherished for almost eleven years and at the time, I felt my life went along with it too. That year I got into more fights than usual with my parents and siblings. On top of all that I got stressed from taking on difficult classes as well as getting involved in student government. I spent most of my days crying over those things, as well as over little things or no reason at all. I even thought about suicide occasionally. Junior and senior year went better, but since sophomore year, all I thought about was getting out on my own. Well, I'm a freshman in college now and nothing's really changed. If anything, I feel like I'm going through worse things than I did three years ago. I don't know. Maybe I'm just not used to adapting to certain things.

I picked "Freshman." But there were only 3 choices when I went to high school (10th, 11th and 12th grades).

I think I liked the middle grade best (11th) because I was by then familiar with high school and there was no pressure of graduation/grades which happens in the final year.

Yeah, I can relate to that. I've lived in the same house for 40 years (since Oct. 9, 1966).

Junior year. I had a couple teachers that I didn't like and it just made that year drag.

I loved Senior year.

Freshman year was definitely the worst for me. I went from a private elementary school where the teachers actually cared about what you were doing, to a public middle school where the teachers couldn't have cared less. And most were a**holes, but that's ok I guess, because most of the students were too. Talk about culture shock!

Best was probably senior year. I had three study halls a day that year - one during the last hour - so I could always get my homework done before going home; things were more relaxed because, hey, it was senior year and we all knew it would be ending soon; and I had begun to take more of an interest in my appearance that year, and noticed that girls started looking at me more. ...And not with disgust like before.

I've loved every year of high school so far. Actually my current year (senior) has actually been the most boring so far.

Freshman year (1996-1997) was the WORST. I hated it because I had just moved in to that district and had no friends (and I hated the area in general). I also got really sick that year, so I connect that illness with that period in my life. It just sucked all around.

I think my absolute favorite year was junior year (1999) I had definitely established a great group of friends that I could sit with in classes or lunch, English class was awesome, and the junior trip to Washington, D.C. was really fun. That junior trip was how I became closer to the girl that would become my best friend too.

None of my high school years were that bad but if I had to pick I'd say freshman year. Now if we were talking all grades...7th grade was by far my worst year.

I would have to go with senior year. At that point I just wanted to graduate and be done with high school.

I would have to say that I enjoyed all of my 4 years in High School. It kinda sucked when I got to my senior year because some of my friends who were older than me and had graduated. But I still had more in the same class as I. But High School wasn't all that bad.

Now middle school, that's a whole other story, 8th I hated with a passion
