Lightbulb Memorable PSAs

There's the classic Public Service Announcement...with the eggs..."This is your brain on drugs."

There's one that's always stuck with me. I want to say it was back in the early 90s. It's for summer water safety.

It's a sunny summer's day, and we're seeing a neighborhood from an aerial view. There's a radio playing, with the announcer saying how nice the weather is, etc....the camera pans over the perfect neighborhood...kids playing.

The camera stops, and the radio announcer's voice gets louder as he says, "What a great day to be in the water!" At that precise moment, we see a teen-aged boy, floating face down in a swimming pool, dead.

I tried looking on youtube for the one with the teen who drowned, but I couldn't find it. Can you please try to find it for me? I'm sure you're better at it than I am.

You're a sweetie. Don't put too much time into it. It's probably in the pool safety category.

There is one in particular that stood out for me and it was one about train safety. This woman is trying to drive across the tracks to beat the train, but she get stuck on the tracks. She gets out, but she can't get back door open to get her baby out. Next thing we see is the train smash into the car before she's able to get the baby out. That one was scary.

Yeah I know what you mean.

I also remember seeing a lot of McGruff PSAs on WGN when I was little. Is that where it was from or something? Man I miss the old WGN.
