Default I finally got to watch the infamous "Judith Cohen Story" and was really disappointed.

That it was not that bad! I was expecting a real stinker judging from the bashing that this episode got. I kind of liked it!

a lot of people probably don;t like it because the episode got away from the typical Good Times episode with the Evans in a financial Jam and the fact that it was a Overweight White Woman who was not that much of a looker, most feel that it didn;t feel like a GOOD TIMES ep. i really liked it

Solomon, don't lie. I have never said I didn't like it because she is white and overweight. Brie has never said that either. I can't recall anyone stating that. Her looks had nothing to do with it.

I know, I'm just saying no one has never gave a detailed reason as to why they didn't like it. I was just guessing, and it wouldn;t mean that u were racist because u didn;t like it because she was white, it would just mean that you felt she was not a good fit for the Good times situation.

I'd appreciate her talents, just not on Good Times. Maybe if she was trying to get a record deal and stopped by WKRP in Cincinnati to sing, maybe then. But not on Good Times. I just couldn't help looking at how out of place she was on Good Times.

Only if you were able to see how deep the meaning of her song was you would really put that episode on your-"watchable list"

The episode sucked, because she couldn't sing a lick. She was horrendous Solomon.

The entire episode is horrendous. They could have had a skinny or overweight black chick on there singing the same song and I still would hate it. I hated the Christmas episode where the family performs at Keith's taxi job for the same reason, I don't watch Good Times for singing, I watch it for laughs, the seriousness and the other stuff. The only time I liked singing on the show was when Wanda was in a bind with her rent.

And I have given detailed reasons for not liking this episode. Don't say no one has give you that. We have had this discussion waaaay tooooo many times.

Had JJ been the manager of a girl who could sing her ass off, an Aretha Franklin type or Mariah Carey type of singer (regardless of her race or weight), then I probably would have enjoyed it more. I mean, the song was boring as hell. She was boring as hell. Give me someone who could "jam" or sing her lungs out, someone who would make me want to watch.

You keep telling us abt how "deep" this episode is. I want to bury this episode sooooo DEEP into the ground and never see it again!

If anything, I think the writers were using Judith, BECAUSE of the fact that she was white and overweight...they were using her for cheap laughs. Even the character talked abt herself "not in a good light".
