Ooh ooh I DO!
I dig Top Chef, it's no Project Runway but it is a fine substitute while that's off the air. My favorites are definitely Illan and Sam (look for them as the final two).

I thought I was alone in my love for Illan. I don't like Sam as much though.

I have to say I have been extremely disappointed with TC for the past few episodes. No one is likeable. Marcel in the final two?! He has to be there just for the drama with Ilan.

Well, I think I'm like the only one in the country, but I actually kinda feel badly for Marcel. I think that he's kinda smug, but he seems to be a pretty decent, innovative chef who knows exactly who he is...and the others are intimdated by this. Plus, he is very awkward socially, so that makes others not like him, too.

I thought Sam should be there, though.

Have to respectfully disagree. This whole season Marcel's been a scheming, whiny jerk. That's not to say I approve of Ilan's petty attempts to bring him down, or Sam's stand back and take no responsibility approach to, well, everything, or Elia's costant bitching about how everything isn't fair.

Don't get me started on Padma. Hope they replace her with a legit food personality next season.

Yeah...where did Padma come from? Who is she? I thought Gail had a bigger part last year, and she actually seems to know what she's talking about (not just, "this tastes good").

I thought it was funny in the finale how Ilan, Sam, and Elia decided to "rat out Marcel's cheating," but then Elia turned out to be the only one who really said much of anything...it mad her look so stupid!

Padma's extensive resume includes being married to the author Salman Rushdie, and about 5 minutes of screen time in the Mariah Carey bomb "Glitter"

If Project Runway and Top Design can get legit, credible hosts, why can't TC?

And Elia's last ditch attempt to rat out Marcel was lame, but the fact that Ilan and Sam (mainly Ilan) egged her on to speak up about Marcel's "cheating" made me dislike this group even more

Wow...so if I star in a bomb, can I issue opinions about food on a reality show?

So who do you want to win?

I'm not a fan of either anymore, but I'll go with Ilan, if only for his looks. I couldn't stand to see Marcel all smug about winning.

I also think it's a load of bull that Marcel's behavior doesn't mean a thing about being a top chef. If your employees loathe you, you won't be successful.

I did kinda find that shocking, too. I agree completely. If your employees don't like you, they're not going to produce at a "top chef" level...so behavior should matter.

I think I read that Marcel is a teacher at the Culinary Institute, so I'd be curious what his students think about him.

Part of me thinks he is playing a character?

But, Ilan is hot lol!

i've watched the marathons and really enjoy it. I don't have cable but for some reason we only get mtv, mtv 2, bravo and some asian channel. So if it weren't for the limited amount of channels I never would have been a fan of this show.
