Possible TV Shows to be Released on Blu-Ray Disc and HD-DVD - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

There is talk (from work) of a few TV shows that maybe released on High-Definition video discs in the coming years. I will be watching for some official announcements next year-possibly in March.

Right now, both formats are too new for any official commitments for TV shows- this is the word now, but there is rumors floating around that a few TV shows may get the HD treatment soon.

Desperate Housewives, The Sopranos, The L Word, G-Spot and Trailer Park Boys are all under consideration if the HD format increases in sales.

We may even see some Star Trek series on this format as well.

I bookmarked this thread and will update it when more details come available to me.

Don't bank on it. If there is any commitment to HD TV Shows, it'll just be recent shows that were broadcasted on HD.

You can be sure that Fox will find HD as yet another way to offload a re-packaged "Buffy" set.

I know Lost is going to be released in Blu-Ray but the problem?

It costs $200 dollars per season!
