Default What if Anchor Bay and Image Came Up to You...

And each asked you which 2 shows you'd like them to release? However, Anchor Bay would say you could pick one show that hasn't been released and also one show that's been abandoned by another company. Image says the same thing to you. So that's 4 shows, two from each company.

I'd pick:

Anchor Bay -

The Donna Reed Show (8 Seasons), with Anchor Bay, they don't tend to abandon shows, so this would be a great place for "The Donna Reed Show," a show that I'm afraid wouldn't get completed by some other company.

The Joey Bishop Show (4 seasons), well officially four seasons. However, I'd be okay if they skipped the first season, because, from what I understand it's a completely different show with all different characters. I'm not even sure if by the second season, if they pretended like the first season didn't exist. But this would make up for the blunders of that other company who released season two, without the opening credits.

Image -

My Three Sons (12 seasons), with Image, they set a certain schedule and then stick by that schedule. So it would take only about two and a half years if they did it right.

Make Room for Daddy (11 seasons), this is a show that only the fifth season was released and no more. Not only that, but much like "The Joey Bishop Show" the set did not include the opening credits in the episodes. So Image would fix that, releasing the episodes as unedited as they can get them.

So which shows would you pick and from which company would you send it to? I say only four shows, to make it more challenging to answer. If I said list ALL the shows you'd want, you wouldn't put much thought into it. You'd just list every show you can think of that's not out yet, lol.

Okay, I'll play...

Anchor Bay

The Ropers (1.5 seasons)
Jem! (3 Seasons)

Image Entertainment
The Patty Duke Show
Hazel (if it has, in fact, been abandoned)

Anchor Bay usually doesn't release really old series from the 50s and 60s. Anyway, my picks:

Anchor Bay:
Too Close for Comfort (pick it up from Rhino)
Mr. Belvedere (Fox seems to have no intentions)
Small Wonder (same as above)
The Ropers
Three's a Crowd
(sorry had to go 4)

Image Entertainment:
Hooperman
Out of this World

I think My Three Sons would be best for MPI and Make room for Daddy from S'more. They seem to be the best for 50s/60s.

Anchor Bay:
I'd say Radio Free Roscoe as the new show (not counting an 8 episode best of) because AB held on to most if not all of the music from Doogie Howser M.D. The music on RFR is lesser known indie stuff so it should be even less a hurdle securing music rights. Two 26 episode volumes and it'd be complete. I'd like to see that.

I'd pick Fame as the abandoned show, though I don't know that it's abandoned. It's MGM/Fox now after season 1 was released through MGM/Sony. I just want the rest of the series, I don't care who releases it.

Image:
With them releasing seven seasons of Saved By The Bell: The New Class in less than a year, I'd like to see them do the same with the five seasons of California Dreams.

Abandoned show?: American Dreams
