Default Star Wars

What's your favorite of the 6 Star Wars films and why?

Mine would have to be Jedi....always has been my fav, and always will be....I think it's the perfect conclusion to the saga--wraps everything up neatly, but leaves us wanting three more to come! Good effects for the time, and I really want a pet Ewok!

My favorite is the original. Star Wars (1977).

I liked Return Of The Jedi for the same reasons. My favorite of the prequels is Revenge Of The Sith.

Of the prequels, I actually like watching Phantom Menace more, but Sith is a much better story line....it's funny that the middle of both trilogies is my least favorite with Empire probably being my ultimate least favorite. But, I have never really been able to clearly state why that is....?

That's funny, because most people consider "Empire" the best film of the middle trilogy.

As far as episodes 1-3 go, I love them. I know many fans my age who see them as a huge insult to the Star Wars films we grew up on, but I think they're pretty darn entertaining.

Empire

Because I saw Star Wars when I was 10 and I eagerly anticipated the sequel. At 13 things are so much different and it definitely suited a kid older than 10.

Initially I was blown away by presence of the movie, the necessity of the moment of the rebels being where they were with the Empire now back in full force in full pursuit.

It's just that it wasn't as breezy and introductory. And the characters actually became defined. And the mood was that of desperation and relentless uncertainty - in Star Wars you knew they had to win. In Empire you started to get the feeling this might not work out so nice.

I felt Star Wars told a great story and was fun and introduced us to great character and a fantastic world.

In Empire I felt the reality of that world. It grounded Star Wars.

It rocked.
