Default I'm convinced that Steve Nash grew up in the GHETTO SECTION of Canada-lol

I swear this man did it again last night, showed his a$$ in the 4th qtr and both Overtimes and ended with 42 points and 14 assts. His playground style of play is just MIND LOWING. Nash is without a doubt the best point guard ever to play in the NBA. I would love to see the Ghetto section of Canada he grew up in and learned his playground style of playing basketball-lol

He grew up in Vancouver (Victoria, British Columbia) hardly ghetto. My younger brother played highschool ball against him, we knew he was good but no one had a clue how good.

Vancouver might still have a basket ball team if Stu Jackson was not such an idiot, Vancouver could have easily acquired him 4 picks earlier. One of many colossal mistakes by Stu.

Steve is a total class act, refresshing to see a star that doesn't let it go to his head. (Bonds,TO, Francis,etc...) not so class acts

No body from the ghetto is going to grow a mullet. Nash is too cool for the ghetto anyway.

No he grew up in Victoria BC...The reason he turned out to be such a great player was hard work. I remember him saying that the turning point in his career was when he played ball in the Bay Area with Gary Payton and a bunch of other NBA players from the Bay Area. It was here he developed his competitiveness and Killer instinct.

Steve Nash is not only a great player but he is also very loyal to his country. He has always represented Canada in various international competitions when other players ie. Jamal Magloire and Rick Fox declined.

I know that, but your statement is asinine. Why does Nash have to be from a ghetto to play good ball?

Brian, you are not understanding what I mean-lol-lol I'm not saying ONLY GOOD BALL PLAYERS COME FROM THE HOOD, I said he plays like those guys I see on STREET BALL on ESPN and he reminds me of some guys I seen in the Hood in the past. He has a PLAYGROUND style of Ball that impresses me-lol So that's what I mean

Ok, I hate to be nit-picky on the sports board but the ghetto doesn't mean a poor part of town. A ghetto is simply any area of a city where the population is more than 50% minority.
