Default Episode titled "Four Letter Word"-what "date" and "year" did this run?

I am curoius if anyone can tell me the exact date, year this first ran.

I ask only becuase it is stated in many episode guides as being first run on 8th of May 1980.

But on thew closing credits to this show it shows the date as being from 1979.

PLEASE,PLEASE,PLEASE,could someone verify EXACTLY when this first aired? Are all of the ep guides wrong?Could they actually mean to read 8th of May 1979?

I am ptting toether this series on dvd and want to make ABSOLUTE CERTAIN theat all the eps are in the correct original broadcasted order.

Thank use

Well it wouldn't be 5/8/79 because the first season end before May of 1979. It started in march and ended in April

I promise you that 5/8/80 is the correct airdate. It's not clear why this episode was held back; after the other twelve of the first thirteen episodes of the season had aired, there were several weeks of repeats from mid December into January. Then the character of Jenny was introduced in the "back nine" when new episodes began again at the end of January. It's just one of those odd things. All your sources are correct.

Well the answer to your question is the ep was produced in 1979 and aired by ABC on 5/8/80
