Sad Anybody else sick??

I feel like total crap right now!! I took my temperature earlier this morning, and I had a 101.4 degree temperature. Last night it got all the way up to 101.9. My mom and one of our roomates is also sick, and they both stayed home from work yesterday, and are staying home today as well. I use to love this time of the year, but for some reason, for the last three years, I have gotten sick in December or January, and the worst part about it is, it usually lasts for about two or three weeks. I even got a flu shot this year for the first time since I was a little kid, and I seem to be sicker this year, then Iv'e been at anytime over the last 10 years. I'm feeling nauseus, dizzy, and Iv'e been getting migraines for the last three weeks. Let me just tell you, throwing up while you have a pounding migraine, is definitely not fun!! Anyway, is anyone else here sick, and do you have any tips for getting over it?? I could really use any help I can get right about now.

I'm currently getting over this cold. It started over Thanksgiving, and then I had a mono relapse that Saturday and Sunday (two weekends ago). My cold was in full force last week on Monday... oh god, that was terrible. Right now, I just have the occasional runny nose and nasty coughing fits.

Oh yes, mono, the kissing disease. I had that once when I was a kid, and it sucked!! My whole body broke out in little red rashes, and I thought I had the measles or something. I'm glad you don't have to deal with that anymore. Hopefully you'll get over your cold very soon. It sucks waking up with your head in a giant pool of snot. Feel better soon!!

I hope you feel better. Usually, it seems like I get sick in the beginning of the year with the flu or a bad cold(either January or February). This year, it was in October when I had a bad case of shingles on the left side of my back and chest.

The only thing I can tell is you is, force fluids once you are able to keep them down. Try some ginger ale to settle your stomach.

It's December 5th. As of 3 days ago I have bronchitis and a sinus infection... December 5th, I'm right on track. I'm usually sick from December to March every year.

I have an immune deficiency. No, it's not as bad as AIDS, but it's pretty crappy. I'm missing like 90% of the hemoglobin in my blood which wards off colds, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.

Feel better, Mel!

I even tried taking medicine to help me sleep and that didn't help. I hope I'm better by next week.

I hope you feel better, Jen.
