Why was Michael the lead singer of a group of adults??? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

It didn't make much sense that Michael was paired up with adults in a singing group. I think it would have made more sense, if it was a group of him and his classmates.

I would think there would be some kind of resentment from the older guys.

But then again, I think since this was the era of the Jacksons and groups being led by younger singers, it was not out of the ordinary.

I was just about to mention The Jackson Five. I was about to say, "What about the Jackson Five? Michael, the youngest was the lead singer(Of the original Jackson five, No Randy yet)

maybe they were trying to push Ralph Carters musical talent? like a lot of 1970s sitcoms did with their teen stars.... bradys, partridge, etc

Ralph did have a good voice, even if some of the material wasn't right.
