I remember seeing the re enactments during the opening credits which showed a woman smashing a window with a baseball bat.

Does any one remember what this case was about Was it solved

I think I vaguely remember her having a mental illness, but I am not entirely sure if I am mixing it up with another episode. She might have gone missing from what I can recall.

I remember her having long blonde hair, it looked like a severe situation !

That was about the 1983 disappearance of Tammy Lynn Leppert. A relative of hers has posted messages at this forum.

I haven't watched um for a long time and episodes are vaguely familiar. We don't have um on free-to-air tv in Australia unless you have pay tv, which I don't have.

That will change with crystaldawn's compilation dvd's, which will bring me up to speed! Thank you for the information, I will head over to the doe network to check it out!
