My resignation on the Traders Forum

It won't come as a huge surprise to some- but I am resigning from modearting on the Traders Forum here at Sitcoms.

It is my belief, that some things need to change on this forum/site- and those changes are not in my control.

I mean no disrespect to the owner, TJ
It is a large site, with a lot of members and the Traders Forum is only ONE section of such a large board.

But what was once a hobby has become combat
What was once fun, has become a source of constant attack.

It is no surprise on a board with so many people, so many opinions that heads will butt occasionally
Arguements will happen, and disagreeing is common place.
But when people are taking time to set people up, when people are taking time to take something as simple as an avatar of good fun, or a profile that is SUPPOSE to let the community know more about you, and each day wake up finding new things to jab, insult, instigate, or offend people with-
Things are going too far.

The disagreements aren't about the board anymore, they aren't about posts, they aren't even about trading- they are personal.
Peoples personal information is being used.
Addresses and last names mocked inside signitures,
personal emails quoted, and used only to cause more stryfe.

Few posts don't get reported anymore-
Few days go by that there isn't a new controversy, a new problem, a new chaos.
And I am not singling out members, but other moderators.

I have tried to add fun at my own expense
I have tried to add organization at my own time
I have tried ot bring safety, and remove bad traders and put the board first.
Weekends, lunch hours, late nights, personal energy - whenever it was needed.
But even that isn't enough.

I admit I don't have all the answers, or all the solutions-
But when I invest my time, effort and sweat, and the gratitude for that, is MY privacy being breached, and my efforts being mocked- and insulted- I have exhausted my efforts and arsenol.


I apologize to those that felt I could do a better job, and for those who were trying as well to make this a better, safer, or even more fun board.

And I urge those who are part of the problem here, no matter member or moderator to ask yourself, this energy your putting into fighting, chaos and drama- what result you wish.

At one point I made this board a better place, and for the last 6 months steady, that has been a goal I can't achieve.
I am big enough to admit, when my resources are empty, or my good ideas have run dry- and more than big enough to admit, someone else might be bale to do a better job-

And for 2 specific moderators who have had NOTHING but advice and complaints about this forum I CHALLENGE them to step forward and moderate it-and publically state, if you can do a better job SO BE IT>
but unless your going to step forward and do it- it comes back to the same old addage-
Its far easier to SAY then to do. So, go ahead, the floor is yours, Janice, BrianDamage- Stop reporting threads, stop griping in private, come forward take the lead- and make this forum the better forum you think you can.
I was called two faced today, and told to go gripe, and whine to TJ or threaten to quit -
I am not going to threaten to quit, I resign
So instead of insulting me, mocking me, offending me TAKE OVER
FIX THIS- Create a better place- For once do something other than TALK
DO
Take action and DO something - Other than bitch and moan from the sidelines.
And I genuinly hope you do. I hope it wasn't all hot air- Because after all is said and done this isn't about me, this was about the community- and ALL of us making it better.
