Default Stallone: "'Rocky Six' Was a Bad Move"

HOLLYWOOD - Sylvester Stallone regrets signing up to make a sixth Rocky movie, and wishes he had listened to his wife's protests when he was initially offered the role.
Jennifer Flavin burst into tears when the 60-year-old revealed he would be reprising his role as boxing champ Rocky Balboa, because she was worried about the strain a rigorous training routine would have on him.

And Stallone admits she may have been right. He says, "She was absolutely right. I mean, she was just defending her husband from what actually was a totally crazy idea, but now she likes it."

Stallone was convinced to take the role because the last film was such a disappointment. He adds, "I know Rocky V disappointed a lot of people. I felt the same way about it and that was gnawing away at me every time people said to me they liked the first four but...

"When the option of Rocky VI came up I thought the time was right to do another one, just to make sure it was finished properly. That's just what life is like."

So what is he saying, he regrets it but then it states that "but now she likes it". She changed her mind and he changed his mind?

I thought Rocky 5 was great. Aside from the first Rocky, I thought it was the best one. Definitely the most realistic of all the Rocky films!! Part 2, and 4 were crap though!!

Little Mel you're crazy for saying Rocky IV sucked. That's the best Rocky movie. Rocky V didn't suck to me. I liked it. I saw previews for Rocky VI and it looks alright. I'll check it out when it comes to video.

We've had this disagreement in the past, and even though I respect your view, I still stand by my feelings that the fourth Rocky sucked!! I thought it had it's good moments, but overall it was just too damn corny, and unrealistic. The worst part was Rocky's ridiculous speech at the end of the movie, about two Nations coming together or whatever. That had to have been one of the goofiest scenes in movie history. As bad as I thought part 4 was though, I still don't think it was nearly as bad as part 2. That one was like a poorly written, two hour long soap opera!!

ROCKY 1 = classic
ROCKY 2= bland, predictable but ok
ROCKY 3--- really cartoonish but fun
ROCKY 4--- ridiculously cartoonish but fun
ROCKY 5--- dull, boring and ridiculous

The trailer looks really good to me, it looks like they're going back to the beginning. I'm going to see this one.
