Which retired Price is Right pricing games would you like to see come back?
I would vote for Walk of Fame and the phone home game. Oh, and Professor Price, almost forgot about that one. |

Above, I had mentioned the Phone Home Game, the Walk of Fame and Professor Price. The reason for that being that I thought they were the coolest. In doing some research, I discovered that, except for Professor Price, the games had no real reason for being retired. Phone Home Game was supposedly retired because it took to long to play, but I didn't think it took that long. Plus, it was cool because people that couldn't make it to L.A. could at least win by becoming a phone-in contestant. Walk of Fame was supposedly retired due to inflation, yet virtually every game has been adjusted for inflation. I thought it was cool that even if you lost, you could still get an autograph book if they lost, with all of the casts signatures on it. I can sort of understand Professor Price, since it used common knowledge questions. I thought how the entire set going berzerk if the contestant won was cool (clock spinning out of control, owl flapping its wings)
I discovered some more games that sound cool. Finish Line and Hurdles were both race games that were retired due to mechanical problems. Trader Bob featured a Log Cabin motif and was retired due to being too hard to win. It's Optional was the first to have the possibility of winning more than one car, and no reason was given for its retirement. It was called "It's Optional", because it gave you the opportunity to add different options to it (air conditioning, etc.) For those interested, a list of all retired games and all current games is available at the link at the end of this paragraph. If you click on each game, it will provide you with a pretty good description and other cool info. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of..._pricing_games |

although the Phone Home Game should probably be retooled a little bit. I read on the Wikipedia site about the following instance. There were 7 products on the board. The phone-in contestant's job was to list off three prices ,one at a time, and after each one, the studio contestant was to match the price with the product on the board that had that price. One product was worth $2,000, one $3,000, and one worth $10,000. If the phone-in contestant listed a product instead of a price, both contestants lost that turn. On one occasion, the phone-in contestant named three products in succession, thus totally wasting the game for the studio contestant. The poor studio contestant didn't even get a chance, their whole game was wasted by someone else and they had no control over it. And since you can only play one TPIR game for life, that was it.
