Cool Favorite Actor on Dobie Gillis

Hi, just wondering who's your favorite actor on Dobie Gillis? Mine is Bob Denver. He acted Maynard very funny and he really didn't know what a beatnik was. I read in his book that he went to coffeehouses where beaniks hung out. His book is really great and he is really a great actor. He is very funny as Gilligan on Gilligan's Island too, the second television show he was in. I only seen a few episodes of Dobie Gillis by having to buy them. It would be real nice to see it come on nick-at-nite or Tv Land. So if you would like to see Dobie Gillis come on tv please email Tv Land or nick-at-nite. Thanks.

Like, hey man,Maynard was the coolest role ol' Bob Denver had.He was the ginchiest and real hip to the protest-scene,Big Daddy. He like told his good buddy Dobie that he was a protest cat.He never could, like, answer when Dobe asked what he was protesting.Maynard wanted to make the scene but he couldn't quite dig where the scene was,so he grooved on his own scene.Bop-bop-boobie-doo-bop-bop!
Like,Cool,Man!Maynard was endsville and I dug him the most!

Seriously, although I first saw Bob Denver on Gilligan's Island-checking the reruns of Dobie Gillis and seeing almost all of them when I was ten(I'm 46 now)made me realize that not only was Bob Denver more than a comedic ator-Maynard was a much better character than Gilligan.(No offense, that's just the way I feel...and has been the way I felt since 1965.)

Bob Denver as Maynard is hilarious, but my all time favourite is Sheila Kuehl and her crinkled up nose as Zelda Gilroy.

Oh OK!! That is who your avatar is !!! It's funny. I haven't seen that much of this show. IDK why? Every time I have watched I like it. I think I've only seen like 4 eps in my life!?

I'd have to say my fav is Bob Denver, seeing Gilligan as a Beatnik is really fun!

Cool

For me it's Steve Franken who played spoiled rich kid Chatsworth Osborne Jr.!

I would say my favorite is Dwayne Hickman(Dobie Gillis), but I also love his Dad(Herbert T. Gillis) in the show played by Frank Faylen.

Bob Denver as Maynard because he is just goofy and I also really like Sheila Kuehl as Zelda because she is determined to get Dobie and she is also funny with her nose thing.

Frank Faylen who plays Dobie's dad Herbert T. Gillis is my favorite. He is always on his sons case, but deep down inside he cares for him.

So hard to choose, but I would say Frank Faylen. Dwayne Hickman would be second.

The least favorite would be Warren Beatty. Just not right for the show at all.

Tuesday Weld is such a wonderfully natural actress, on Dobie and in anything I've ever seen her in.
