Default GH Question

Ok...this is driving me NUTS! I love that Laura's back, but does anyone know is she really leaving AGAIN after like 2 weeks or are they going to find some magic cure 'cause i can't stand her leaving! Argh! It's making me angry!

i can't answer your question, but i can say that this has been a stupid last few days.
the buildup to bringing her back was great, with her return to each family member even better. but now, one week after the wedding they made to be so big, it appears to be over.
IF this IS IT, this was stupid. all it was was a big bandaid to get new and older viewers to tune in and see just how far this show has gone downhill to it's current level of ignorance.
i watch this show a few weeks and give up on it a few more weeks because the stories are mostly based around sonny (who i feel has no place as the top dog on this show) and carly (feel the same about her) and who they jump in the bed with while not facing the truth about each other. it's all about their bed time moments with a few extra characters mixed in...now this show gets a breath of fresh air and this is what we get????
older viewers that no longer watch GH will see through this nostalgic fascade and know that there was a reason why they left before, once the nostalgia is gone. new viewers may enjoy it and might stay on some. but us longtime viewers..we all ought to feel and BE insulted by this. i know i am.

I know...I think they kinda tried to pull that nostaligic thing by bringing back Robert and Anna, too. And after about two weeks, they faded to the background, too. So maybe this is going to be a trend...but if so, that's really stupid. They're going to lose viewers in the long run if they keep this up. Watch them bring Brenda back for a week, next.

My mom told me today that Genie did sign a year contract finally, but a year of sitting in that rocking chair?! Please no!

i hadn't read that anywhere. that would be bad if she stayed like that.
good point about the scorpios. they should have dragged that out betwen robin and robert to be a big deal. and even with mac and robert. dang, give mac a stroyline. that coulda been it.
next thing, they can get tom hardy to come back and watch his mom die, or give blood to somebody..or or kill off mariah for a big jones family mourning...if they want some nostalgia, bring back stavros cassadine and finish the bacteria stroyline they started back in '01. i recall they dropped him as that began when the athrax deal hit here in real life, so they dropped it and "killed" him off. they could blame all that on the story a few months back with the deal and bring holly back as some sort of accomplice to that. and think of how it would be for stavros to be blamed for the death of his own son's love of courtney..the battle between nikolas and stavros..they could build that up like luke skywalker and darth vader. it could be huge, especially with robert kelker-kelly as stavros again..helena could be in the role as the emporer, egging it all on. that would be better than most of what has been on here in recent years...
where is my contract to be headwriter....?????!!?!?!?!

Hopefully Patrick and Robin will find something for laura. because if i were laura i'd have to give luke a nice hard smack in the face, becase if laura does leave again he gave everyone else one.

Lol! That would be cool..I don't think they'll do it 'cause they seem to be focusing more on Sonny instead of Nicolas being the big dude now a days, but when you become headwriter, I'd love to be your assistant

i am sure we could do better than what is happening now.
i believe in using history to your advantage in storytelling....

I keep expecting them to write Jerry Jax back in somehow...

I'm not sure what they showed Thanksgiving day in your area, but here they played an episode (during it's normal time slot) where Carly and her dad were trapped in the house and Sam had just had her miscarriage. It was so incredibly random. I'm like, if you're going to show a really random episode anyways, why not just show the original Luke and Laura wedding episode...at least it would kinda make sense!

I'd love for them to redevelop a story line for Mac...bring back Felicia (though not that new lady they had playing her right before she disappeared randomly)! Or better yet, if you're going to bring back random old characters, how about Lucy and Doc! That'd be great, though since I didn't watch Port Charles, I'm not sure where there storyline was or anything....

speaking of which..a stroyline i WANT revisited...ryan chamberlin.
remember this..at the funhouse, just before it exploded, felicia escaped and was hiding..ryan came running out and yelled "ryan!!!!" , then it exploded killing him. why? why would ryan yell his own name out??
ever since then, i have thought that it was actually kevin collins who died in the explosion and ryan took over his life. he had done it before and no one figured it out, so why not again?
imagine how lucy would react to know that she had spent all that time with the wrong man..and that livvy was not his daughter... a lot of ideas here.

That would be good...I was actually thinking something similar.

I wish they would develop a story line for Ned, too...I saw him there at Thanksgiving and Luke/Laura's wedding part two, but he's so rarely on.

I was so mad they killed of Tony instead of building a plot for him. And more Bobbie's just sitting around...They have some good character they're doing nothing with while forcing weak characters into totally pointless and re-tredded story lines. I'm getting disappointed

i agree. killing tony was not good.
killing diego last week was not good in the long term, but for the current storyline it was good.
bobbie is a wasted character now. as is ned. mac....if they are not going to use ned, let him leave and go back to singing. he can do it without lois. they do without skye, too. we don't need both alcazar and rick. one is enough.

I think Skye was decent when she was a foil for Luke, but now they're not doing anything w/her. I hate they keep some of these ppl around and just bring them back once in awhile during holiday or crisis episodes.

Alan...I used to love him! He was great! Now, he's just a bumbling fool in my opinion. I mean, I was okay with killing Diego b/c he was getting to the point where he kinda annoyed me anyways. But, I liked Xander and kinda find myself missing him.

I also can't remember...was Scotty the one killed in the fire or did he live?
