Default Jeremy Vincent

His new "better half" is Morgan Joyce [Lori Loughlin], who has wanted to be a mom. Stories include such plots as Jeremy's frequent confrontations with his alcoholic, abusive ex-wife Nancy [Jane Kaczmarek], who will do anythig to get Jonathan [a frequent victim of his mom's physical abuse], Jeremy's teaching his son to always respect women, as well as Jeremy's working life. The cast includes: Ted McGinley as Jeremy, Lori Loughlin as Morgan, Mark Rendall as Jonathan, Celeste Holm as Cassie Vincent, Hal Williams as Paul Weston, a single dad who is one of Jeremy's friends, Hank Azaria as Hank Thomas, another friend of Jeremy, and Jane Kaczmarek as Nancy, who will appear periodically.

Default Re; Jeremy Vincent

Whoops, I meant "anything". Anyhows, Jeremy, to help cope with his bitter divorce from his first wife, finds solace in collecting gasoline and oil memorabilia [he has, among other things, 1940s-50s vintage Amoco, Atlantic,Esso, and Cities Service signs in his bedroom], which helps him a great deal. Throughout his problems, he manages to stay self-assured and self-confident, traits he inherited from his mom, Cassie.

Default Re: Jeremy Vincent

William Russ will take over the role of Lance Williams, Nancy's reluctant henchman, who never forgave Jeremy for blocking five shots in a high school hockey game in which Jeremy's team won the district championship [Jeremy, the goalie, was named MVP]. LeGault will portray Nancy's divorce attorney, Herb Bronson while Marcia Rodd will play Jeremy's divorce lawyer Stephanie Barnes.

Default Special Guest

John C. McGinley makes a guest appearance as Frank, Jeremy's long-lost brother, who makes an uninvited visit to Jeremy and Morgan's house. Jeremy tries to help Frank with his gambling addiction, as well as his divorce from his wife [the latter, the same thing that plagued Jeremy]. J. and M. prepare a thanksgiving meal and allow Frank to join in.

Default A Character Change and an addition

The part of Cassie [still played by Holm] will be changed to Jeremy's grandmother and the actual mother will be Deborah, played by Pat Crowley. Also, Joan Hotchkis will play Elizabeth Gallo, Nancy's mother, who doesn't blame Jeremy for leaving Nancy, and who tries to have her troubled daughter committed to an institution.

Default Christmas with the Vincents

Morgan's parents Mary [Holland Taylor] and Ed Joyce [Peter Haskell] invite Jeremy, Morgan and Jonathan to a cabin in a suburb to spend the Christmas holiday. Things go well, for the most part, until "Nasty Nancy" as Morgan calls her shows up unexpectedly. Mary and Ed catch on, and, with J. and M's approval, tell her to lay off. There is also a tender scene between Jeremy and Morgan.

Default TV-movie prequel

The MOW, "The Readjustment Of Jeremy Vincent" details the circumstances that led to his divorce from Nancy [her alcoholism, her violent acts, such as hitting Jonathan], his winning custody of their son, trying to adjust to life after divorce, and his courtship of, and marriage to, Morgan. Plus Nancy's threats to stop the marriage, which fail, particularly Deborah telling Nancy that she failed as a wife and mom.

Default Triple Trouble

Nancy, again trying to break up J. and M., changes a young lady's looks to resemble Morgan [who is with Jonathan shopping for Jeremy's birthday gifts]. Lance names the girl "Morena" [Lori Loughlin in a dual role]. Nancy orders her to make love to Jeremy -who had been hit by Lance when J. was in his garage- making Jeremy think its Morgan. When the real Morgan sees what's happening, she leaves a stunned Jeremy. Jeremy next grabs "Morena"'s wig and pulls it off, causing "Morena" to sock J. in the face and break his jaw. When Morgan comes back after Jonathan overhears Nancy saying how she plotted the whole thing, Morgan is horrified and in tears. Jeremy is then sent to a hospital. Morgan next confronts Nancy and vows to tear her head off. After Jeremy's jaw heals, Morgan vows never to doubt her husband again. Lance and Nancy are sent to jail [along with "Morena"] for assault. Ted McGinley directs this ep.

Default Nancy on trial

Jeremy and Morgan, at the latter's urging, sue Nancy for repeated invasion and harrassment. They are represented by Morgan's lawyer friend Denise Ford [Marilu Henner]. Nancy is defended by Jack Herbert [David Spielberg]. J.and M. relate the various incidents that Nancy repeatedly harrassed the couple, including the attempt to foist the Morgan lookalike on Jeremy. Naturally Nancy denies everything, but when Denise badgers Nancy, she immediately confesses, is found guilty, and is put on strict probation. Jeremy and Morgan celebrate with a dinner. Jonathan joins them.

Default The Return Of Frank

John C. McGinley makes a return appearance as Frank, Jeremy's brother. While Jeremy and Morgan have a night out, Frank decides to take Jonathan somewhere. However, Frank visits a gambling casino. While Jonathan is watching, Frank spends a couple of hours near the machines trying to win a big fortune, and loses every time, going nearly broke. When Jonathan tells his dad and stepmom [after they all return home] what happened, Jeremy almost chews out his brother. Jeremy and Morgan lecture Frank on the evils of wagering. Frank vows never to gamble again.

Default My Friend's Mom Hits Him

Jordan Christopher Michael guest stars as Jonathan's friend Eddie, who is a victim of a situation that led his dad to divorce Jonathan's first mom [Jane Kaczmarek does not appear in this ep.], physical abuse by his mother Fawna [played by Ted McGinley's ex-"Married With Children" co-star Amanda Bearse]. At first Eddie tries to hide his problem, but when Jeremy, Morgan and Jonathan discover welts and bruises on his back, Eddie tells the truth. Jeremy and Morgan confront Fawna and tell her what a terrible parent she is. When Fawna explains her divorce and other problems, The Vincents refer her to a parental help group. She then vows never to hit Eddie again.

Default Spinoff series, Denise Ford

In the spinoff, "Denise Ford", Marilu Henner stars as Morgan's best friend who's a criminal lawyer and devoted mother. Denise-who had labeled Nancy a psycho in an ep of the parent series-lives with her husband Ron, played by Tony Roberts, who's a building inspector, her daughter Michelle [Sarah Schaub], who's an aspiring fashion designer, and son Bobby [Jimmy Jax Pinchak]. Denise shares a law office with Dan Kimball [Ken Howard], a law clerk and good friend of Ron's, and Gerri Kaplow [Abby Dalton], with whom she has numerous disagreements.

Default A New Leaf?

After Nancy is released from jail, she vows to change her attitude. At her mother's insistance, Nancy goes out with Jeremy, Morgan, and Jonathan to a family restaurant, but when Nancy learns they don't serve beer there, she reverts to her old self, yelling at Jeremy and "Molly-er-Megan, whatever her name is" [Nancy never calls her Morgan] for doing this to her. After more screaming, Nancy is thrown out of the place. When Jeremy tells Elizabeth [Nancy's mom] what happened, Elizabeth bawls out her daughter.
