I only watched this show a few times last season, but I've been catching every episode this season (thanks to my DVDR) and I have some questions-why are Earl and Randy living in a motel? Don't they have jobs? If not, how can they afford a motel? Why do they call Darnell "crabman"?

earl and randy dont have jobs, they live in a motel cause earl used to be married to joy, he left when crabman, was boinking joy, and crabman is called crabman because he works at the crab shack.
