Default Was there a Stonehenge segment?

I could have sworn there was a stonehenge segment, and I wanny say it even found its way to opening highlight reels, but a search of the boards turned up virtually nothing. Can anyone verify there was such a segment?

thanks

I'm afraid to say you might come up empty on that search- I have no recollection of ever seeing a Stonehenge segment. It prob. would have appeared on the strange Legends boxset if it was ever done.

I'm pretty sure that there was a segment about Stonehenge featured on UM at some point.

I tend to agree with Dislimb. Although I don't remember it directly, I want to say that I've seen this segment as well.... I had to learn about Stonehenge somewhere!

Not necessarily, there were quite a few strange legends segments that didn't make it on to the box set of the same name.

If it does exist, It would be neat to see it again. Stonehenge always fascinated me.

Sorry.....can't say that I have seen or heard of a Stonehenge segment.

Yeah, on the Wheatfields Visitations segment on the UFO Box Sets, the reels open with Stonehenge.

That would've been cool if there was or is one, tho.

The show Weird Travels aired some segments on stonehenge, Nazca lines, crop circles etc. In addition, they also covered weird legends as New Jersey Devil, Mothman, Loch ness etc. I recently saw Easter Island on a top 10 list of mystery locations on the travel channel.
Also, I think to the best of my knowledge, the old series 'In Search Of' did segments on the Easter Island massacre, the Magic of Stonehenge, the Bermuda Triangle and the like.

Here's the link CD PM'd me a while back to the 'In Search of' series listings some may find interesting:

Hope that helps.

I've been there a couple of times. Out in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by fields that make you think of crop circles.

You park on the opposite side of the small road and walk through a short tunnel under the road to the Stonehenge side. Then you pay and they take you in groups to the stones.

The first time I was there it was very lax and you could walk smack up to Stonehenge including the circle itself and basically do whatever you wanted, although they asked you not to touch. The second time they had roped off the circle area and I had to view from outside it. That really detracted from the experience. I think they still let visitors enter the circle area at limited times and in small groups. At least that's what they told me last time I visited.

Stonehenge is outside the small town of Amesbury (about 100 miles from London). There is a great website with tons of information about this famous landmark:

There's an article in today's USA today about Stonehenge. It talks about how it might be a burial site instead of a celestial observatory.
