This new sitcom is starring Roseanne Barr and Rosie O'Donnell as two fortysomething Chicago sisters who are once-again re-entering the dating realm 20 years later. Roseanne Barr plays Barb Connelly-Denson, a 48-year-old recent divorcee who co-owns her own book store downtown Chicago. Barb and her cheating ex-hubby, Joe Denson (Blake Clark) have one daughter, Alyssa (Ashley Tisdale). Alyssa's a freshman at Martins College Of Cosmetology. Barb's 44-year-old sister, Terri Connelly (Rosie O'Donnell), who also co-owns the book store, has recently-split from her 10-year-relationship with longtime boyfriend/best friend, Dave Manning (Dave Coulier)--due to the fact, she came out of the closet and is now a lesbian. Barb and Terri still stay in contact with Joe (b/c of Alyssa) and Dave (b/c of her and Dave's close friendship that spanned since college).
