Default News Radio - My Sixth Season

NEWSRADIO
My 6th Season

CAST:
Dave Foley as Dave Nelson
Stephen Root as Jimmy James
Phil Hartman as Bill McNeal
Andy Dick as Matthew Brock
Joe Roman as Joe Garelli
Maura Tierney as Lisa Miller
Khandi Alexander as Catherine Duke
Vicki Lewis as Beth Bradley

EPISODES:

Ep1: Mondays Suck:
Everyone has the case of the Mondays at WNYX. On air, Bill and Catherine get into a heated debate over gender discrimination. Dave and Lisa are stuck helping Jimmy go through "applications" for his future wife.

Ep2: Matthew's Birthday:
It's Matthew's birthday and no one at WNYX has remembered it. Matthew is devastated that his friends forgot his birthday, and becomes hostile towards his friends-which causes them to find out why Matthew is acting that way. Beth and Lisa realize everyone forgot his birthday and decide to make it up to Matthew, by the two girls taking Matthew out for birthday drinks after work--where he is surprised to find Joe, Dave, Bill, Jimmy, and Catherine there with gifts.

Ep3: Doctor, Doctor:
Catherine learns from her recent doctor's visit that she has a good five years of ample baby-making time left. That new news throws Catherine into a frenzy like you won't believe. Meanwhile, Jimmy informs Dave, Bill, Joe, and Matthew that he has had a vascetomy a few years ago. The guys empathize with Jimmy, as where Lisa and Beth find Jimmy to be a "real man" for actually getting a vascetomy as where most men would "chicken-out".

Ep4: In-Vitro, Baby:
Beth accompanies a scared Catherine as she goes to visit a fertility clinic. Catherine's doctor, Dr. Avery Jackson (Whoopi Goldberg) answers all of Catherine's questions and rids Catherine of any doubts or worries. Meanwhile, Bill gets an unwelcome surprise visit from his second ex-wife, Shelly (Mira Sorvino). Shelly informs Bill that she is moving back to New York for good--just to bother Bill out of spite of their nasty divorce.

Ep5: Asking and Doing:
Catherine ponders over who she wants to be the sperm donor of her artificially-inseminated baby. Catherine neglects asking Jimmy (b/c of his vascetomy), Dave and Matthew (b/c they are too 'dorky' and 'white' for her). Catherine wants to ask Joe if he will 'help' her out. Meanwhile, Bill is irrate when he finds out that Joe has slept with his ex-wife, Shelly (Mira Sorvino).

Ep6: Lodging and Dodging:
Jimmy, Bill, Dave, Joe, and Matthew go up to Jimmy's cottage in Vermont where they have a "men-only weekend" filled with beer, hunting, camping, and of course one drunken stripper named Amber (Soleil Moon Frye). Meanwhile, Beth, Lisa, and Catherine go to a spa resort---where Catherine confesses she wants Joe to be the sperm donor of her baby, Lisa confesses she has a lesbianic experience back in college with their massage therapist, and Beth confesses she was briefly married right after high school but divorced a year later.

Ep7: Jimmy's Girls:
Jimmy's twentysomething twin daughters, from his first marriage, pay a visit to WNYX. The men of WNYX are driven insane by Jimmy's hot blonde twin daughters and their stunning beauty. Unbeknownst to Jimmy and his girls, Joe, Bill, and Matthew place bets to see how can get a date with them first without asking directly. (All three end up being rejected). Also, Beth decides to give them advice on thrift store fashion and how you can look good/spend less.

Ep8: Happily Divorced: Part One
Bill learns his first ex-wife, Connie (Roseanne Barr) is getting a divorce from her hubby (the man that broke up her and Bill's marriage back in day). Bill and Connie, who were high school sweethearts/best friends, decide to out for drinks to catch up on old times. Meanwhile, Catherine bribes Beth into trying to change Joe's refusal to be the daddy of Catherine's baby.

Ep9: Happily Divorced: Part Two
The next morning, Bill and Connie wake up in bed together. Bill's night with his ex becomes a conversation around WNYX. Joe reveals he doesn't want it to ruin his and Catherine's friendship, plus he would feel obligated to be a part of the baby's life and doesn't feel he would be ready or even make a good dad. Catherine shares a heart-to-heart chat with Joe in the janitor's closet.

Ep10: Angry Love:
Dave finds out that Lisa has a secret passion for bondage, an intrigued Dave ends up getting tied-up by Lisa in nothing but his boxers. Things go awry, when Lisa is called away by the news of her apartment being broken into (all while leaving Dave tied up and blindfolded). Meanwhile, Lisa and Matthew seek out to know what went on during Joe and Catherine's private conversation, which led Joe to change his mind.
