Is anyone old enough to actually see Good times in it's original run? Anyone watched the promos for "next week's" Good Times? I mean, they way we in 2006 see Promos for next week's "My Name Is Earl".

I did.
They didn't do that. TV was different then. Also, you didn't have so many damn commercials. Promos were unheard of then. THAT WAS WHEN TV WAS AT IT'S BEST. They didn't talk over the credits, they didn't shrink the credits, they didn't have anything at all. It was all abt the show ending with credits! NO PROMOS. You had to wait for the TV guide to tell you what the next episode was about. |

I remember seeing the show when it originally aired, it was one of my favorites of that time. It only showed a promo for the next weeks episode if it were a two parter.

I was around for the original run of episodes, but I can't remember if they did promos or not. I was only 7 back then.

Janice is asking, were there any promos showing the next week's episode. The only time they did that was when it was a two, three or four parter. They never showed us what the next episode was going to be abt. Nor, do I recall ever, during a commercial, a sneak peek at what the next episode was going to be abt. |
