Post Read PLEASE!!!

Can you make a overview for one or some of the TV shows for my site?

I am wanting one overview from:
The Facts of Life Three's Company Diff'rent Strokes Family Ties The Golden Girls Designing Women Laverne And Shirley The Jeffersons All In the Family Happy Days The Brady Bunch Punky Brewster Mama's Family Growing Pains Charles In Charge ALF The Wonder Years Step By Step Saved By The Bell Roseanne Full House Family Matters Boy Meets World

Here is an example for this site:
This spin-off from the popular NBC comedy Diff'rent Strokes originally focused on Mrs. Garrett, who had been the Drummonds' housekeeper prior to taking a job as a housemother at the prestigious Eastland school for young women. Mrs. Garrett was kind and understanding, serving as both confidante and surrogate parent to the girls in her charge, who at the start of the series ranged in age from 11 to 15. Blair, 15, was wealthy, attractive, and spoiled; Nancy, 14, was well-rounded; Sue Ann, 14, was cute and boy-crazy; Tootie, 11, was the resident gossip; and Natalie, the other principal student, was plump and impressionable. The headmaster at Eastland was Mr. Bradley, and Miss Mahoney was a teacher seen only during the tryout run of The Facts of Life in the summer of 1979.

As the seasons passed, the series evolved. By 1980 Mrs Garrett had taken on the additional responsiblites of dietician at Eastland, and there were two new cast members: Jo, a 16-year-old street kid from the Bronx who maintained a tough exterior to hide her insecurities; and Howard, the cook at Eastland. Mr. Bradley was succeeded as headmaster by seldom-seen Mr. Harris (Kenneth Mars), and then by Mr. Parker. It was Parker's callousness toward Mrs. Garrett that led to a major change in 1983. Frustrated at having been underpaid and taken for granted for so long, Edna vented her frustration to her beloved son Raymond, an accountant who stunned her by offering to buy a run-down store in the nearby town of Peekskill, New York, and letting her reopen it as a gourmet food shop. Thus was born Edna's Edibles. Blair and Jo (who were now attending nearby Langley College) and Tootie and Natalie (still at Eastland) moved in, and their good times continued.

In 1985 a fire destroyed the store and Mrs. Garrett and the girls rebuilt it into a completely new business--an updated version of a 1950s malt shop, selling everything from ice cream to records and T-shirts, and called "Over Our Heads." It was the perfect hangout for students at Langley, and the girls were all partners. Young Andy was the errand boy, and George the good-looking young carpenter who helped with the rebuilding. The following year Mrs. Garrett remarried and tearfully moved away; she was replaced by her chatterbox sister, Beverly Ann, who became the new "housemother" and stepmother to Andy.

By 1987-1988 the "girls" had become young women. It was announced that this would be The Facts of Life's last season, and each of the regulars was seen embarking on adult life, each in her own way. Natalie, the aspiring author, got her first taste of a writer's life in New York City, and was also the first to lose her virginity when she spent the night with her boyfriend Snake. Shortly thereafter Jo, who was headed for a business career, was married to freewheeling musician Rick. Tootie, who was engaged to Jeff, planned to become an actress, and enrolled at the prestigious Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. But the most surprising was wealthy Blair, by now enrolled at Langley Law School. Watching in despair as her alma mater Eastland went steadily downhill, she decided to do something about it. Putting all her assets on the line, she bought the school and assumed the position of headmistress, planning major changes--including a coed student body--to put Eastland back on the map.

The stories on The Facts of Life were funny, but also often touching. The girls faced problems with their parents, including lack of communication, divorce, and death; they also experienced growing pains in a realistic way (it seemed as if teenager Tootie's braces would never come off). Blair's 23-year-old cousin Geri, who was determined to become a comedienne despite the handicap of cerebral palsy, was occasionally seen (played by Geri Jewell, a real-life CP victim). Also seen infrequently were Blair's divorced parents, David and Monica Warner (played by Nicolas Coster and Marj Dusay), and Jo's folks Charlie and Rose Polniaczek (Alex Rocco, Claire Malis).

NBC aired reruns of The Facts of Life on weekdays from December 1982 until June 1985.

Now this is just an example. It doesn't have to be this long and:

****Put the overview in ur OWN WORDS pLEASE!!

Ok I'll do The Golden Girls:

The Golden Girls is a hysterical show about 4 older women: Dorothy Zbornac, a divorcee with a "yutz" ex husband(played by Bea Arthur); Rose Nylund, a ditz from St. Olaf, Minnesota(played by Betty White); Blanche Devereaux, a southern sex fiend crazy over men(played by Rue McClanahan); and Sophia Petrillo, Dorothy's over 80 mother who is absoluely nutso(played by Estelle Getty).

The girls met because Blanche was renting out her house and the girls replied to the ad- Blanche went to the grocery store and came back with three new roommates.

The show got funnier and funnier as it evolved, but plot lines seemed to be coming short. Finally, in 1992, the show was cancelled, spinning off into The Golden Palace, where all but Dorothy ran a hotel. The show had another spinoff called Empty Nest, which had Dinah Manoff in it.

The Golden Girls is now rerun on Lifetime.

Here ya go Jacob!!!

Laverne and Shirley is an excellent sitcom created by Garry Marshall, and is the story of 2 young women, working at Shotz Brewery in the 1950's. Laverne is played by the wonderful Penny Marshall, Shirley by Cindy Williams. Carmine Ragusa who is Shirley's singing boyfriend on the series is played by Broadway star Eddie Mekka. Laverne and Shirley also has it's many co-characters starting out including Laverne's father Frank, EDna Babbish the landlord, Lenny and Squiggy, the zany neighbors, and occasionally an appearence by Rosie, Laverne and Shirley's at times coo-koo, but beautiful friend.

The series started out in 1975, as a spin-off of the ABC hit sitcom, Happy Days starring Henry Winkler and Ron Howard. Laverne and Shirley instantly became a hit, and went on to run until 1983. During the series though, some changes were made, in fact the biggest one came in early 1980, when Laverne and Shirley moved to California, as inspring movie stars, who end up working for a wrapping company. And, some other characters came and left. Sgt. Plout had made several guest appearences on L&S during the Milwaukee seasons, and would appear more in the show. Rhonda Lee played by Leslie Esterbrook was the girl's beautiful, ditzy neighbor, and Sonny was played by Ed Maranio, whose contract ended after 1 season. Cindy Williams left the series in 1982, after she got pregnant, this left Laverne to go out on her own, and things got even more isolated when Lenny left. The series was cancelled in 1983, even though it scored as #25 in the neilsons.

The Cast:
Penny Marshall as Laverne Defazio
Cindy Williams as Shirley Feeney [75-82]
Eddie Mekka as Carmine Ragusa
Al Monterlino [sp?] as Frank Defazio
Betty Garrett as Edna Babbish [75-81]
Michael McKean as Lenny Kowaski [75-82]
David L Lander as Squggy Squiggman
Leslie Easterbrook as Rhonda Lee [80-83]
Ed Marinaro as Sonny St Jaques [80-81]

Well, first of all, the show debuted on January 27, 1976. So, while production was probably started in 1975, it didn't air until 1976. Betty Garrett wasn't in the first season at all. And Frank was played by Phil Foster, not Al Monterlino, who ever that is... perhaps you were thinking of Al Molinaro, Al on Happy Days, who guest-starred in the episode "Faulter at the Alter" as the priest.

And, to correct a few spelling errors, some of which were probably typos, it's DeFazio, not Defazio. It's Squiggy Squigmann, not Squggy Squiggman (First name Andrew, but usually called Squiggy). It's St. Jacques. And it's not Kowaski, it's Kosnowski. In the first few episodes, Michael McKean was credited as playing "Lenny Kowaski", but after the first few, his last name, although not used to credit him, was Kosnowski (Which means "Help, there's a hog in my kitchen!"). I don't mean to be rude, I just thought I should point these out.

Three's Company is a very funny ABC sitcom which first aired in 1977, as an american remake of a series called Man In The House in England. After 2 pilots failed, and ABC had low hopes, a 3 pilot was shot with an extremly talented cast which included Suzanne Somers, Joyce Dewitt, John Ritter, Norman Fell, and Audra Lindey. It worked, and the series would go on to be one of the classic sitcom of all time.

In 1977, Jack Tripper woke up in the bathroom of Chrissy Snow and Janet Wood. They became instant friends, and before long Jack planned to move in...but under one condition. The landlord Mr. Roper doesn't think it's right for a guy to be living with 2 girls...so Jack tells a fib that he is gay. This leads on to more in the future. In the 5th episode of the series actually, a new character appeared, named Larry Dallas, played by Richard Kline. Larry was Jack's best friend.

By 1979, the series had already gotten excellent ratings, and by now the cast was on the cover of TV Guide and Newsweek. This year also in fact let go of The Roper as they led on into another series, and Mr. Furley played by Don Knotts came into the picture, followed by Ann Wedgeworth playing the new tenant, Lana Shields.

But in 1980, a contract dispuit between Suzanne Somers and the producers, lead to the firing of Suzanne Somers...leading to Ann Wedgeworth to leave, and Jenilee Harrison take Suzanne's place, as Chrissy's loveable, but klutzy Cousin Cindy.

In 1981, Priscilla Barnes came into the picture, semi-replaceing Jenilee Harrison as Terri Alden, but Cindy went to UCLA, and appeared regularly throughout the season. In 1982, Jenilee was let go, and after 2 more seasons, the series was cancelled.

Cast:
John Ritter as Jack Tripper
Joyce Dewitt as Janet Wood
Suzanne Somers as Chrissy Snow [77-80]
Norman Fell as Mr. Roper [77-79]
Audra Lindey as Mrs. Roper [77-79]
Richard Kline as Larry Dallas
Don Knotts as Mr. Furley [79-84]
Jenilee Harrison as Cindy Snow [80-82]
Priscilla Barnes as Terri Alden [81-84]
Ann Wedgeworth as Lana Shields [79-80]
Paul Ainsley as Jim The Bartender [77-79]
Brad Blandsall as Mike The Bartender [80-83]
