Default MrIggles, this is what I learned about your team after 9 games

That they depend on the BIG PLAY to win. I seen the pattern all season and if Mcnabb is not throwing long bomb down the field or if the corner backs are not returning INT"s for TD's, the eagles don;t win. All 5 of their wins this seasons resulting from ONE BIG PLAY or more

Texans-Long Bomb to Stallworth

49ers-Mike Patterson 95 yd fumble recovery

Cowboys-80 yd TD pass to Hank Baskett/Int Return for TD

Redskins-Int Return for TD/84 yd pass to stallworth

Packers-Can't remember but I'm sure it was

The Eagles Losses this season

Giants-Gave up no Big Plays

Saints-Gave up (1) big Play

Jags-Gave up no Big Plays

Bucs-Gave up (1) big Play

So it appears that if you hold the Eagles to ONE BIG PLAY or NONE during the game, they won;t win. AM I right MrIggles?-LOL

Interesting observation there solomon. I think you are partially right. The eagles thrive on the big plays & are at their best when they make these plays & alot of the examples you stated. They are not reliant on the big plays. The eagles have a very explosive offense when all pistons are firing & I think alot of the plays you mentioned are because of uncle andys lack of calling a balanced game. He is addicted to the pass game & chances are if you throw the ball 73% of the time that big plays will happen. I think now that marty is calling the plays you will see a closer to the chest type game plan that allows for more running plays thus more ball control (like sunday) & thus less dependability on the " big play". The eagles offense is what it is & explosive work in progress & right now the plays have been big & in a few of the losses the eagles have had big plays, but they in turn gave up big or bigger plays or got the ball rammed down their throats. The eagles are a work in progress on that side of the ball. Again very interesting observation solomon & i think your partially right & partially wrong.

Let's just see how right I am as the season progresses. If the Titans give up no big plays they will win on sunday, i will put HALF my paycheck on that

I don't want to make you NERVOUS but this Titans Team scored 26 Points on a Defense(ravens) much better than the Eagles-lol

Like I told you last week I am nervous about every game, I just have confidence in my birds this week!! That 26 point number is a bit tainted because the titans defense accounted for some of those points
