Default Bring on the Bunkers!

It would be terrible if "AITF"'s remaining seasons wouldn't be released. I've loved this show since it was first on 30 years ago. You would think that once a series has begun to be released on DVD that the distributor would see it that series to the end regardless of sales.

No wonder that series from the 1970's do so poorly on DVD, you can't hardly find them on TV to keep them in the public eye. TV Land is a joke. I hardly ever watch "AITF" on it because of the extra editing for ads, makes me sick.

I was surprised they already went ahead to release Archie Bunker's Place - Season One. But...I hope this has something to do with a Season 2 release. We all know that the question has been asked many times about the character of Edith Bunker. "When did she die? How did she die? What happened?" Well, Sony has to know how interested long-time (and casual) fans are in seeing the episode where Archie and Stephanie mourn the loss of Edith. It's a very important season in the history of the series to release on dvd. In fact, Season 6 is also historically important with the birth of baby Joey. If they hyped up these two important facts, sales could push up.

I hate Sony. Just thinking about them I feel sick!

They take so long to release a show that they put absolutely no effort into besides. Maybe that's we sales are so slow, Sony! Get a clue, and release a decent set of AITF, before it's too late, and then you'll see the gigantic fan base rush to buy the sets. If you don't care, quite frankly, why SHOULD WE be excited about the releases you haphazardly see by?

I certainly hope it happens, soon. I have my doubts, but it would be great if season six was released sometime in '07. Keeping my fingers crossed!

I'm also hoping that the rest of All In The Family comes to dvd real soon. My favorite episode is the two parter where Edith gets attacked.

I hope Sony doesn't do that after we have spent money on each individual set. That would suck royally. I'm surprised that there were absolutely no extras on any of these sets considering the landmark status of this show.

I hope so too. That's a very important episode in the run of the series. It's in Season 8 though so we are 2 seasons away from that one. I hope things pick-up with the release of Season 6.

I just saw this on TVShowsonDVD.com. Doesn't sound like they are confirming exactly, but it's something to go on.
